The natural ash glaze gradates from a light-glossy grey on one side to a blueish grey on the other. The foot of the bowl is unglazed at the base and shows traces of ferrous-rich clay in the form of an orangish hue. Cap mask or headdress carved from wood, covered with antelope skin and with a base of woven basketry for attachment to the head of the masquerade. Two antelope horns are affixed to the top of the mask. Remnants of human hair around the top of the piece. A Chinese export famille rose wall vase, featuring a poem and a Mandarin lady with her children. The inside and the back is glazed in turquoise blue. The rims are dressed in gilt. On the recessed base, there is a six character Qianlong mark in iron red.
