Very fine old skirt from a Northern Chin ethnic group, Myanmar. The indigo dyed upper panel is woven with very soft handspun local cotton while lower embroidered panel is all silk. A hand-embroidered Hazara cloth from Afghanistan, circa mid 20th century. Silk thread on a white linen background executed in satin stitch. Condition is excellent. No flaws nor stains. Measures 31.3 cm x 31.8 cm.

Japanese scroll painted with ink and colors on paper depicting the Rokkasen (Six Famous Poets of Japan that lived in 9-10th century) seated on the ground in different attitudes. Wonderful Zen quality to the brushwork, great composition, beautiful use of color. Brocade silk mounts, lacquered wood scroll ends. Inscribed with a short poem, signed KEIZAN, and marked with red paste seal and another seal lower on the painting. Scroll size 60x15 inches, painting size 26.5x10.5 inches.

Old hand stitched Indian 'chakla' textile. Kathipa style embroidered in 'heer' floss silk on old cotton base. Undated, estimated to be early 20th century or earlier. 40 inches square. Good condition few missing mirrors. Can be viewed in central London and shipped worldwide.

Wonderfully carved wooden Lanna Tiger, the hole in the mouth means this could be worn as amulet or placed on an altar. On the bottom is a lightly incised spiral glyph underneath the base indicate this was meant to be protect the owner. Bear in mind that amulets are very popular in Thailand and most are mass produced in either as terra cotta tablet or cast in metal- this is a one of a kind piece. H: 7.5cm/3in and W: 4.8cm/1.9in.

Small food dish for vegetables, relish etc. of round shape with small indentations in the rim. Thin, light colored stoneware, covered in cream-colored glaze with very fine crackle and pinkish brown swirls. In the bottom a highly stylized kotobuki character (longevity) in iron brown and three green glaze splashes on the rim. Glazes have left a few spots uncovered. Oribe ware, Japan, early Taisho era, 1920s.

Set of 6 Chinese jade and hardstone musical instruments, each on a matching rosewood stand.
