Early Japanese Edo Dynasty lost wax cast altar vase with figures and flowers, the lacquered vase with geometric background, the back having a wonderful stylized pine tree and the front top with pine branches and a large central places chrysanthemum flower flanked by a pair of Buddhist robed figures.We date this piece to the 15-16thc This piece was purchased in Kagoshima on Kyushu island Japan 1990 . Chinese Ming Dynasty lacquered bronze amphora type vase with Dragon Headed handles, of small scale this wonderful little vase was finely cast down to the detail of the dragon faces on the handles, a geometric pattern above the foot. The vase has a very early Lacquer plug repair on the base. Size 3.5" by 2.5"

18th c Edo Dynasty cream colored Satsuma censer or Koro , rare design with no decoration , collected in the Satsuma province of Japan . It was said by dealers there this was a piece used most likely in the Satsuma castle privy . Condition is near perfect other than age staining and firing cracks at the bottom .Size W 9" H 7"

This is a very attractive Vintage Japanese cloisonne vase designed with a contemporary style or deco look. We have never seen another like it. The vase is rather large and is signed Sato. It stands 7 1/2 tall and is 8 1/2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with only a little pitting on the bottom rim. This is probably the finest cloisonne example we have seen produced from this company.
