Antique silver button collectors look at this set of four antique Far Eastern Chinese export foo dog lion or dragon motif repousse chased unmarked silver buttons. Although unmarked, they test at least 90% silver, yet may be sterling.
20mm across and look at that ferocity! 3mm holloware thickness.
The silversmith cut the front and backs, hammered and chased the front figural details, then attached the front and backs together...

One Japanese porcelain mamezara (bean, or appetizer, dish.) Fine blue and white decoration of a landscape on one panel and particularly fine shades of blue decoration of a flowering prunus branch on another. Karakusa decoration on the back. Early vintage Chinese bracelet with a pale green carved chalcedony centerpiece knotted to three strands of cobalt blue Chinese Peking glass beads. The beads and centerpiece are strung with matching blue thread with what appear to be the original Chinese knots. PLEASE NOTE: This piece has possibly been shortened or altered from its original form, since in the middle, the strands are sewn together by the knots, with blue thread. The strands are therefore not continuously hand knotted together...
This hand carved wooden comb belonged to a Miao Chinese minority women with limited means.
Comb would have been worn horizontally between the top of the woman's head and under the twisted bun of her hair. Comb is decorated with symbols which a burned into the wood. comb is 5 x 4 inches
If you don't collect Jadeite, this one might get you started. It is provocative and unique among Jadeite wares, featuring a voluptuous nude female figure on each of the 3 sides of the vase. Good condition with original base punch hole intact. The main defect is 2 parallel small tight cracks about 2 millimeters. There is also some faint discoloration around this condition.

This is a nice example of the ubiquitous "doga", embroidered talismans common to all the Turkic peoples of Central Asia. This amulet was made to protect the family from any evil influences from the world outside from affecting family health and harmony. This doga is from Bamiyan province, Afghanistan. Circa mid to late 20th century. Condition is overall good but there are some small sections of embroidery that are a little worn out...
A sweet sterling silver baby ring and teething rattle. The central silver piece shows a clock face where hands can be engraved to indicate the time of birth along with the date, year and the infant's weight. The back side can be engraved with the baby's name. The rattle is suspended in a lucite faux mother-of-pearl teething ring. These rattles are very difficult to find with no monograms or other engraving.

A bag made of hand-spun cotton with shibori (tie-dye) and katazome (stencil-resist-dye) pattern which is vegetable indigo dye. It has cotton lining with kasuri pattern which is also hand-spun and vegetable indigo dye and thinly padded with cotton. Generally in good condition except for a few stains. Tsuto made of rice straw which is used for containing ceramic plates. It has a small wooden tag "12 plates".
In old age, there was no plastic cushioning material so that rice straw was used much for it and for other crafts. In good condition and very few scraps which is usual for old crafts made of rice straw. The first half of the 20th century. Diameter:24cm, H:26cm
A vintage sterling silver napkin ring, the front decorated with three bears, probably an allusion to the children's story, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." The back is engraved "Tony" and the interior is stamped "Sterling".

Saiho-hinagata (or hinagata), the sewing sample which is a miniature sample to learn sewing. It was invented by an educator for saving time and textile using a special measuring rod. It was practiced in a girl's school from Meiji 7, 1874). Reduced scales were one-third in the beginning and one-quarter, one-half, one-fifth etc. The sewing technique was exactly same as the real size in details. Saiho-hinagata was designated as a significant tangible folk cultural asset...
