Pair of unusual 1930s Japanese sterling silver salt and pepper shakers in a shape of Amida Buddha sitting with his hands in jo-in mudra - hand gesture signifying concentration. Excellent quality work, great faces and textile lines. Sliding door on the bottom, marked STERLING 950. Excellent design, very well made, wonderful table objects.
