This is an attractive vintage Japanese Cloisonne vase. It is much like another piece we currently have listed but of higher quality. It may be from Ando. The wireless enamel work on the mountain and clouds is very good. Except in the foreground, the enamel colors are soft pastel tones of gray/blue. It just under 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide. There is a minor dent to bottom rim that can not be seen when on display. otherwise the condition is outstanding.

This little Hazara purse from Afghanistan was designed to hold kohl or some other small item. Embroidered in fine brick stitch in various colors of silk with the edges fringed with white glass beads, the purse measures 12 x 12 cm with the flap closed. It is in excellent condition, dating to the late 20th century.

Quite a rare old religious oil painting regarding "Christianity of Japan" so-called ‘Kirishitan’ (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirishitan), with unknown Japanese painter's sign as 'Hirota, 1954', attached with such solid and quality iconic wooden frame with glass plate (53 x 62 x 7 cm (20.86 x 24.40 x 2.75in)). Since tightly and completely driven nails, this painting itself and glass plate can't be taken out from this frame...

This brilliant Tenmoku chawan displays gold and flaxen hues interspersed with dark ash glaze. The piece rests upon an unglazed clay pedestal showing the iron-rich clay the bowl is formed from.

Shodai-ware has a long and storied history stretching back as far as the Nara (710 - 794) and Heian (794 - 1192 ) periods...

This extraordinary and sensuous ceramic sculpture depicts a muscular young man embracing an exaggerated grape cluster. "Drunken Young Man", by Kai Nielsen for Bing & Gröndahl in Copenhagen. This sculpture was one of a series known as "Vinhosten" issued in 1912. Absolutely stunning and in mint condition. It measures 4½" (10.5cm). On the underside is incised KAI NIELSEN, 12, impressed is KOBENHAVN, B & G, the insignia of three houses. Impressed is 4024, 51C. Painted in black is Ø.775.

Mirrors ("shisha") are extensively used in Afghan embroidery. The silvered mica or glass is attached to the fabric by means of stitched frameworks and encircling borders. By reflecting sunlight, mirrors protect the wearer from negative energies and evil glances. This child's dress front is densely embroidered in silk thread on a purple polyester ground, complemented in royal purple velvet on the reverse...

Lifetime edition Japanese shin hanga chuban sized woodblock print titled in kanji and English "Benkei Bridge" by Toshi Yoshida (1911-1995) dated Showa 16 (1941). Pencil-signed at the lower right margin and with the artist's black ink signature and red seal at the lower left corner of the image. Paper: 10 5/8" x 7 3/4" (image: 9 1/2” x 6 3/4”). Very good overall condition with full margins.

This is an excellent hand-carved Japanese Netsuke depicting Shoki, the demon queller, in his usual standing position, with his sword drawn. Hocking Moonstone Handled Nappy was made from 1942-1946. It is in mint condition.

This 20th century Chinese YiXin teapot is 3 ¾” high, 4 ½” in diameter and 7” long from spout to the handle. The artist’s name, which is illegible, is stamped inside the lid. Another stamped square seal “China, YiXin” is on the bottom. The design on the pot depicts a peach tree and peach on the lid, spout, handle and part of the body. It is in excellent condition.

This is attributed to Wu Changshuo calligraphy style and signed as his work, can't confirm as his handwriting and calligraphy, it is old to me, please consult expert before ordering, we are no expert in this area but it looks good to decorate as it has the elegance. Quite badly damaged.

Chinese antique six lobed deep stoneware bowl. Covered all over in a buff colour celadon glaze. Straight circular foot ring.

Size: Approximately 6-7/8" diameter by 2-3/4" high

Condition: Overall in very good condition. There is one chip on the foot ring. The base of the bowl holds the remnants of three kiln firing stints.

Age: Yaun Dynasty (1279 - 1368)

A vintage Hmong textile from Laos, carefully crafted into a cushion cover backed with soft black pig suede. The cushion measures 11 1/4" x 15 1/2" with a 100% polyester insert. The textile itself consists of machine embroidery and reverse applique with some intricately worked hand embroidery as accents. The spirals symbolize longevity. Estimated age mid to late 20th century. Condition is overall great with some very minor fraying.

This is a pumpkin-shaped teapot made of Yixing clay with a very smooth texture. The lid has a finial simulating a stalk, while the handle and the spout are meticulously modelled in the form of a stem. On the body near the handle side there is a moulding of tendrils, in relief form, of leave and flower. On the underside of the base is the potter's signature, "Chen Mingyuan" is inscribed.
