Antique Chinese Blanc-de-Chine porcelain. Also called Dehua, after the old kaolin rich kiln town in Fujian province where it was produced, Blanc-de-Chine (fr., lit. 'white from China') was a white glazed, white porcelain ware popular domestically and for export. Figures, articles for the scholar table, devotional objects and decorative vessels were produced.

Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin, seated with a boy holding a ruyi sceptre on her lap. Above a dragon among waves, with Longnu, the Jade Maiden and Shoukai, the Golden Youth to either side. This is an elegant pair of tall chine de blance vase. It stands on a shallow foot rim everting upward slightly like a "v" shape with a mild short shoulder and then a slightly long inverted "C" shaped and an everted flat mouth rim. On the side of the shoulder, there is a pair of moulded lion-mask to the left and right. On the base it has the mark of the honoric mark of "Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhou". Cir. 18th/19th century.

There is only and age old chip of about 1.6 cm to the base of one ...

This is a pair of antique rare dehua glaze type Foo dog or lion joss stick holder from Ming To Song period, apparently it is a pair of male and female foo dog, there is a hole on the back made for firing purpose, moulded.
