Circa post-1980, this Matl necklace was produced by Ricardo Salas. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own.
Twenty-one amethyst teardrop dangles swing freely from the center seven silver panels, each stone topped with a turquoise cabochon. This is a stunning piece which falls perfectly on the neck, and it's also very flattering.
Closed, wearable length is 16 3/4" - 17". Width with amethyst dangle is 1 3/8".
Weight is 71.9 grams.
Signed and hallmarked "Matl M. Regis 14-2093 Mexico 925 MS-12".
