This elegant pin/pendant consists of an oval of onyx in a sterling frame. The bail tests as 14kt, the pin stem tests as 10k yellow gold. In the center are inlaid gold stars, and along the periphery are inlaid flowers, most likely platinum. The frame is decorated with a silver twist, and a floral motif. Here is a coral garland (also referred to as “festoon” or “swag”) necklace, consisting of 8 coral cabuchons of graduated lengths and sizes. The three longest drops are on rigid bars. The coral is a lovely dark ox-blood red. Coral was believed to prevent bad luck, and to be an aid to meditation. This yellow gold necklace is centered by a dark red garnet (probably a spessartite). Garnets are the birthstone for January, and were traditionally thought to keep travelers safe. The dangle is set with a blister pearl which has a mellow off-white color. There are 3 tiny seed pearls in the main setting. This sweet little lavalier is centered by a blue sapphire cabochon within an Art Nouveau framework of 14kt yellow gold. Above is a pearl. It was made by the well known Whiteside & Blank company of Newark, NJ, and stamped “14”. When we found it, it was a ring that had been made from a stickpin, so we felt free to remake it into a lavalier (it didn’t work very well as a ring). This pretty pin measures 7/8” across. Some of the leaves are enameled in shades of green, yellow and orange, alternating with leaves set with 3 seed pearls each. This barrette is sure to attract admiring attention. The flowing, sinuous lines are SO Art Nouveau, and it's an unusual piece. It has a maker's mark which looks like the K used by Kohn & Company, a Newark, NJ manufacturer of gold jewelry. The company used the K mark in 1922 and 1931 advertisements

This sweet brooch depicts two adorable cupids, a boy and a girl, looking serene and loving. Their plique a jour (translucent enamel) wings are a pale purple or mauve color, nicely complimenting the 900 silver. The girl is wearing a tiny necklace of roses. This beautiful sterling silver case was originally meant for cigarettes but could just as easily hold business cards or ???. It is lavishly engraved with an all-over swirling pattern and bears the initials FC in script. The case is 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". It is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, sterling silver, and 1927-28. The maker's mark is FHA & Co.

This charming watch pin is a lovely example of Art Nouveau design. A central amethyst is flanked by seed pearls, all set in 14 k gold. The pin is 3/4 X 3/4" and carries the maker's mark L B A. Circa 1900.

These beautiful sterling silver cufflinks are marked for Unger Bros and sterling. The flower-patterned ovals are linked by chain and are the epitome of Art Nouveau. One oval, darn it, is a plain replacement. Each oval is 7/8" x 3/4". Circa 1910.

This Victorian-style ring has a Gothic design sensibility. The elaborate prongs set off the large iolite (approx. 2 ct.) very nicely, and it includes 4 small single cut accent diamonds. Fit for a museum, this rare and wonderful Egyptian Revival pin has a portrait painted on porcelain. It is mounted in 800 silver and surrounded by 16 coral beads on wire.
