A green glazed "celadon" stoneware vase with flattened pear-shaped body,ring handles and moulded decoration made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province in the 14th Century, during the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). On each side of the vase are six-lobed cartouches containing the Chinese characters "shou" (longevity) and "fu" (prosperity). A rare Yuan dynasty iron spots very large melon shape ewer, rounded side with globular body and unglazed base, ewer decorated with under glaze iron spots motif, two lugs on the neck and covered with qingbai glaze.
Ewer is in good condition with restoration on the spout and handle, no damage no chip, no crack on the body, still a very desirable piece for collection, its very rare to find a Yuan melon shape ewer in this very large size.
Size: 12 cm height, 13 cm diameter for the body.

A rare Yuan dynasty Shufu glaze large lobbed bowl, rounded side with lobbed rim and unglazed base, bowl decorated with molded large dragon motif at the center, inner wall with continuous flower motif, outer wall with flower motif, unglazed base.
Bowl is in good condition with shallow glaze defect on inner rim, no crack, no restoration, rare to find a sfuhu bowl with dragon motif.

Beautiful large Japanese standing Amida Buddha, finely carved wood with red, black and gold lacquer, flowing drapery. Standing on base carved to look like rock and lotus and painted with a gold lacquer, inlaid glass eyes. Early Meiji Period (1868 - 1912) Size: 42" high x 19 1/4" wide x 14 1/2" deep.

Finely carved in details and adapted with a charming coral topped dipper, the snuff bottle was in perfect condition without any defects.

A rare late 19th Century heavy celadon glazed porcelain teapot decorated in Qianjiang style with painting and poetry. The calligraphy to the right of the handle reads - " By the spring water enjoy the coolness of noon" and is signed - Mei Shan Shi. On the next side "Wealth,Honour,Luck" is inscribed in red - in black is written "copy Han Zhong style script" with a red seal which reads Fang Gu ("Copy Antiques")...

Antique Japanese okidoko (shelf for tokonoma), for Japanese display and storage, made all of keyaki (elm) wood with beautiful grain, 4 sliding doors open to one large compartment, pulls for sliding panels have raised motifs of flowers and waves, Taisho Period (circa 1920). Size: 14" high (12" high to top surface) x 63 3/4" long x 13 1/4" deep.

From our European Collection, a very fine Federal Giltwood Pier Mirror, early 19th century circa 1800-1820, featuring a looking glass surmounted by a good maritime scene, bordered on top by a pair of angels exquisitely rendered in gilded gesso suspended beneath an overhanging cornice, and flanked by gilded ribboned columns on the sides.

This particular mirror is an excellent example of its kind, and is especially well-preserved...

From our European Collection, a good and substantial pair of Continental hand-carved black walnut chairs, 19th century, featuring claw feet and floral motifs carved in deep relief. The seat cushions are a mustard / gold colored silk and are either original, or later 19th / early 20th century replacements.
