A beautiful genuine Shan State (Burma)Hand Made Silver Box with intricate décor. Base has a large Flower Medallion, 19th Century. Size: height 4.5 cm. x 6 cm. diameter. Weight: 44 gr.

Three(3) pieces Japanese heavy weight Black Wrought Iron U Shape side Locks and Handles, side handles for 2 pieces Tansu(chest on chest), Tansu side handles for top piece, and use as a lock to the top piece from lower piece together as one(1) Tansu, 6" high, 3 5/8" wide=maximum outer measurement), 5 3/8" high, 2 5/8" wide=inner measurement).

The size of Dish: 5 1/4" Dia x 1 3/16". Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Dish. The dish has pretty Sakura(cherry blossoms) design on the side wall with gold and red. There is Fan and Karakusa motif, plus square landscape design with Fuji Mountain, pine tree, and plover birds design. It is rather simple yet it has classy looking design by using nice composition. The condition of dish excelelnt, no chip, no crack and no hairline...

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved as a smooth clam shell. Good design, shunga connotation as almost inevitable with clam in Japanese art, nice patina on the surface, natural imperfections in staghorn, overall in very good condition. Length 13/16 inches.

This toothpick appears to be by Higgins & Seiter beofre 1900. This toothpick is 2 5/8" tall.

There are no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition.

Porcelain Mustache Cup and Saucer, Ca. before 1920, saucer-6" diameter, cup 2 1/4" high, small ledge to stop the hair get wet, Pink Rose painted on the low relief Rose pattern design on the outside the cup and the saucer, within inside the Scalloped edge gold rim, marked "V" in gold on the bottom. The condition is good.

Lovely Victorian sterling silver pickle fork, the handle decorated with shells and roses. The back is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Prior to 1916, many American silversmiths did not mark their flatware with their names. Unknown maker.

Origin: America, circa 1895. Condition: excellent, no monogram. Size: 5-5/8" long.

Two(2) Chinese underglaze Blue and White Sauce Dishes, Ca. 1920, 3 5/8" diameter, 1" high, very free design underglaze Blue floral and vine design in the center, Chinese Character marking on high footed bottom. One(1) sauce dish has very tight glaze hairline 3/4" long, impossible to show in the photos. The other sauce dish is in good condition.

Ceramic or porcelain, this is a shallow bowl that might have been used for serving foods, measuring at the extreme dimensions 12 3/4" by 8 3/4" by 2" deep. The central design of flowers is hand painted, as is, I think, the gold decoration. As a paintings specialist this is not within my expertise, so I hope to be describing it correctly...

Two(2) Lenox Porcelain Saucers, Cobalt Blue and Gold rim, Ca. 1910, with Green "Lenox" mark and "Bailey Bankers & Biddle Co. Philadelphia" in green, 4 1/4" diameter, 1/2" high, with etched brilliant Gold rim and Cobalt Blue inner rim. The condition is good.

A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze...

An 8-1/4" porcelain plate depicting a Victorian bathing beauty in a swimming costume at the beach c1890s. This plate is transfer printed with a shaded pink ground; it has a pseudo Sevres mark and it could be American or European. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a couple of minor scratches to the image...

A beautiful Antique Thai Hand Made Silver Box (acid tested), 19th Century, decorated with very fine palm leaf and curl designs. Weight 43 gr. Size: height 5 cm x 8 cm diameter. Good condition.

English Transferware Plate, marked "E. Challinor", "Dora" red Transferware Plate, Ca. 1856, 8 1/2" diameter, cows, sheeps and farm house scenery, very pleasant farm animals and houses, and crazing glaze on the surface on the some spots, condition is good.

Offered is a very difficult-to-find, large grouping of twenty one, 19th century, porcelain, matching apothecary cabinet drawer pulls, priced at $45 for each pull.

Each pull measures approximately 1.4"W x 1.3"H x 1" front to back (not including bolt). (Please note- "INULA HELEN" is sold.)

The condition of the pulls is very good with only a few minor manufacturing imperfections that add to the desired patina of an antique of this age and period...

Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese buffalo horn kushi (hair comb) with lacquer decoration of a small bird in flight by bamboo. Beautifully made, excellent lacquer work, wonderful piece in Japanese taste, some insect damage to the teeth as can be seen on photos. Length 3.32 inches.

Chinese Peking Glass Cup/Beaker, 1 3/4" high, 2 1/2" diameter-top rim, 7/8" diameter-bottom rim, with translucent lavender color glass, the tiny black spot in the picture is in the glass, no damages. Etched mark "China" on the bottom.

A 19thC W.R. Loftus, London bronze cup measure. This late 19thC hand-made 2-1/4" bronze measuring cup was made by W.R. Loftus of 146 & 320 Oxford St., London, England. In business from c1860-1940, this company made pewter, beer machinery, bar fittings and also scientific equipment. This tapered cup has a ringed design and it is stamped LOFTUS LONDON 3...

Chinese black Peking Glass Cup/Beaker, 2 5/8" high, 3 3/8" diameter-top rim, 1 1/4" diameter-bottom rim, with few tiny dull frits on top but not sharp.

Late Meiji period (1890s 1912) Japanese buffalo horn kushi (hair comb) with carved low relief cherry flowers and two metal roundels with cutout brocade patterns, design continuing on the back. Very well made, wonderful work in Japanese taste, tiny areas of insect damage here and there, otherwise in great condition. Length 3.57 inches. Part of East Coast collection of Japanese hair items.

Soft paste porcelain luncheon or salad plate, 8 3/8 inches (20.32 cm) diameter, with hand painted underglaze medium blue in the “Ronda” pattern. Though unmarked, the pattern, the color and the deep molded swirled ribs and basketweave border are distinctively Tournai. The underglaze blue “2” on the back is probably the mark of the painter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor surface scratches.

Chinese Green glazed Pottery Chopstick wall holder, can be used wall vase for floral decoration, 1940's, 7 1/4" high, 5 3/8" wide 2 3/4" deep, one side mended with cement, Chinese Export Wax Mark is still intact on the side.

English dark Brown Transferware Plate, Scalloped Rim, Ca.1900, 8" diameter, marked "British Lake, Stone China, Buttermere" with "Crown" mark on the bottom, two(2) cows and two(2) men and tall mountain in the background, very pleasant design in the center and Flowers and Foliage decorated Rim, the condition is good.

A late Victorian c1890-1900 moulded 5-1/2" milk glass vase with a high relief scene of a Dutch mother and child at the seashore or lake. The child carries a small sailboat and this unsigned vase has blue sprayed on colour. This decorative vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs; by their nature these items were mildly crude in their manufacture and there are minor imperfections on the glass and on the sprayed colour...

Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese wooden kushi (hair comb) with brown and gold lacquer decoration and inlaid semiprecious green stone, design continuing onto the back. Beautifully made out of dense brown wood allowing for fine teeth, superb lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste, some losses as can be seen on photos. Length 3.32 inches.

A 1-3/8" wide and 1-1/2" across the interior sterling silver napkin ring c1900-20. This table decoration has a JLR script monogram, it is stamped with the Roden sterling mark and it weighs 21.9 grams. It is in good condition with no corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than two dents and some slight out-of-roundedness. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

Chinese Qing / 19th Century Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Shou & Crabs

This porcelain dish was made during the 19th century and, according to the old paper label stuck to its reverse, was found in the Philippines. We are sure this is accurate as this type of dish is found around south-east Asia so was very likely made for export...

Lovely Victorian pickle fork with a mother of pearl handle, a sterling ferule and silverplated tines.

Origin: England, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent. Size: 7-1/4" long.

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high. Condition is near perfect.

A Birks sterling silver baby food implement from 1900-10. This spoon has a 1-3/4" x 5/8" blade. It is stamped BIRKS STERLING in raised script, it has an EHK monogram, and it weighs 17.4 grams.
