This is a Japanese antique excellent silk kinran Weave and hand-embroidery kesa textile of the edo era(1800-1867) . The lining is silk safflower dyed. There are some stains, and a part of the embroidery thread is peeled off. There is a small hole. But they don't stand out. Recommended for your antique textile collection. This is beni-itajime katazome silk jyuban kimono textile of the Meiji era(1868-1912). The motif is dyed in a dyer's saffron with a cherry tree. Other parts are rinzu silk. It has pole a few stains. However, I do not stand out. It does not have damage and is very beautiful. size:146cm x 123cm (57.5" x 48.4")

Single handled kyathos with incurving rounded bowl. The outside of the rim is decorated with red-brown and umber bands. The same colors are used for the hourglass symbol inside the bowl. Standing on a flat base.

Fingermarks around the foot indicate that the dish was dipped into the glaze.
Covered with a bronish black glaze of metallic lustre.

Brown-glazed Apulian plate with gently raised, shallow floor. The low sloping rim with a flat top. Standing on a low ring foot. Faint traces of fingertips around the foot where held when dipped into the glaze medium. Covered with a red-brown glaze.

Three bottles with elongated foot, spindle-shaped body, and long cylindrical neck. The buging rim of two of them (foot of one) dipped into brick-brown glaze.

A pair woman's Paduka in fish form, made of hardwood and inlaid with brass wire. Base inscribed "Hindu bath sandals" and "Anna Broadwood". A similar pair in the Bata Shoe Museum Collection in Toronto. Dimension: c. 22 cm long, 8.8 cm wide, total height: 8.4 cm. Condition: few traces of usage, a short section with missing wire (see picture no. 2).

This is a Japanese antique Boro noragi indigo dye hemp Meiji (1868-1912). The indigo dye hemp fades with use is very charming. size: Length 75cm (29.5inch) sleeve to sleeve 123cm (48.4inch)

This hemp Kyogen costumes hakama was used by Kyogen actors in the Edo period(1800-1867). The light green color is dyed by mixing natural bark and indigo dye.It's a very natural and beautiful color. This hemp is hand spun. Round flowers and maple patterns are impressive. This one has some wear and tear due to age. There are several small holes here. Recommended for antique textile collections. A rare Polychrome Woodcut "Artisansin Straw" by Mitsuoki Tosa (1617 to 1601), Japan, framed. From a collection of Artisans. Good condition, size: 19.5" x 13.75". Tosa Mitsuoki was one of three outstanding Tosa painters to the imperial court, also known as "Three Brushes".

This Chinese antique wood carving was possibly part of an architectural structure or possibly from a piece of furniture. The wood is approximately 1.3 inches thick and retains much of the original finish though it is obviously worn in some areas. The tradition carvings of 2 dragons chasing the pearl is very well done. The piece is about 5 inches high and 17 inches long.

A charming oil on cardboard American folk art painting of a white clapboard house with a red porch, set amidst trees and greenery. Overall very fine condition with some truly minor scuffs. The gilt frame is period. Sight size is 16 inches by 12 inches.
