This is a Song dynasty (960 – 1276) porcelain cosmetic box and cover. The sides and bottom half is ribbed to look like a melon form, the recessed top is moulded in the form of a stylised double flower with a short stalk. The box is covered in a pale bluish glaze of yingqing type, which pools in the crevasses to an aquamarine tone. The rims and base are unglazed, exposing the white porcellanous body underneath...

This is a late Ming dynasty (16th / 17th Century) blue and white bowl. On the outside of the bowl it is painted, all around the bowl, with blue background with three sets of lotus flower and foliage and three white cranes or herons in white colour. On the inside of the bowl, a small lotus flower is shown blooming from the top view.

There is some abrasion, sand grits on the base and inside of the bowl as shown in the pictures and minute unglazed spots (pic 2)...

A handsome Imperial Russian medium-size hammered brass oval tray with cast brass handles. A tray of this size would probably have been used to serve vodka, and could still be used as a cordial tray or even on a buffet table. One end is stamped with the maker’s name and the Imperial Romanov double eagle warrant. The handles are attached with copper rivets and are cast in a ropetwist design.

A set of three pink luster English porcelain tea saucers. The steeply angled sides are decorated with underglaze pink luster decoration as well as green and iron red flowers. In the first part of the 19th century, hot tea was poured from the cup into the saucer to cool before being drunk directly from the saucer. The bottoms are marked with decorators’ numbers.

A lovely set of six sterling silver strawberry forks in Lunt’s 1893 “Navarre” pattern. This pattern was actually developed by A. F. Towle & Sons, which eventually was purchased by Lunt Silversmiths. The handles are beautifully decorated in an asymmetric pattern of volutes, acanthus leaves and flowers. The slightly splayed double tines retain their original matte gilding. This is a small mid Qing dynasty bronze cloisonné censer with an elongated body. It is design in the likeness of those in the Ming dynasty, with lotus flowers band and scrolling foliages. On the shoulder of the cloisonné, it is decorated all round with a band ruyi with red and blue colour. It is supported four massive fat and short cabriole legs and with two ear like handles.

19th century aneroid desk barometer in a stunning ivory case raised on a turned pedestal and surmounted with a carved ivory bust depicting a young farm maiden. The carving is superbly done, with great attention to the girl's hair and 18th century-style lace-trimmed bonnet. Her face is charming. Elegant, well crafted Gorham footed centerpiece bowl with applied handles. The interior of the bowl is gilded. The handles have a petal motif with a bead at each tip. The centerpiece measures 7" high by 11" wide including the handles. Without the handles, it is 5 3/8" high and has a diameter of 9". There is a unique and beautiful monogram at the bottom. Rare and exquisite footed, fluted, pierced and engraved sterling Gorham bowl with gilded interior. This gorgeous bowl has it all and makes a beautiful centerpiece. It measures 10 1/2"long by 7" wide and is 3 1/4" deep. The bottom is engraved 1898, but the marks indicate it was made in 1891. Marks include a lion, anchor, G, an a lion head (indicating 1891) and Sterling. It is in excellent condition.
