Large Chinese porcelain blue and white vase; shows individuals in a mountanous landscape setting; fine painting throughout; early 20th century; good condition
A blue and white decorated to the interior and monochrome cafe au lait at the exterior. Qing Dynasty Kangxi period. Condition is good with minor chips to rim and a hairline appear to the rim, no any restoration. Diameter: 21,5 cm.
Blue and White Yuhuchunping, decorated with slight fat body like typical early Ming period like Hongwu period, with 7 level decoration of a private kiln with main decor of the Phoenix's in the middle. Late Yuan dynasty 14th Century. Condition is very good, no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Height: 29,7 cm.
Large Chinese late Qing dynasty export porcelain punch bowl decorated around the circumference in famille rose enamels with birds, flowers, and butterflies. A dense polychrome enamel border extends around the interior and exterior of the top. A few blue bats are scattered on the exterior border and gilt highlights the rim. 14 1/4" diameter x 6 1/2" high. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...
An antique Japanese 3 section kimono chest called Isho Biraki Tansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulwonia) wood. All original hardware and natural patina finish. Top section has two sliding doors behind which lies three small drawers and a split level shelf. The drawers and shelf front have a Kuwanoki (Mulberry) wood trim. The center section features 2 large hinged doors which house 4 kimono trays with Kura on the center shelf. The bottom section has 3 large drawers for additional storage...
Amphora handle with the name of the annual official Pausanias written around the Rhodian rose emblem.
The stamped text reads: ΕΠΙ ΠΑΥΣΑΑΝΙΑ ΣΜΙΝΘΙΟΥ – in the term of Pausanias, in the month Sminthios (March-April).
Three eponyms with the name Pausanias are known from Rhodian amphoras...
Mesopotamian incantation bowl with the meaningless repetition of the same letter. The text is grouped in adjacent areas and surrounds two demonic figures with differentiated sexual attributes.
The woman appears with long hair or a veil, the man is depicted with a short brush cut.
Arms and legs are hatched, the fingers indicated. The arms are bound together.
Between the figures a scorpion with segmented body and multiple legs...
Mesopotamian incantation bowl with a nonsensical text consisting of repetitive scribbles.
Bowls with nonsensical non-writing or pseudo-script were not uncommon. The four lines of writing enclose two demonic figures. Possibly male and female.
The heads are rendered in profile with large eyes, the line applied between nose and chin may be a tongue sticking out.
Both demons appear with crossed arms and legs, suggesting that they are bound...
An attractive and impressive large vessel from Ban Chiang culture, Thailand ca. 300 BC.
A bichrome vessel, the body of a bulbous form with a flared rim on a concave curved, quasi-hemispheric foot, the surface covered with a mesmerizing decorative program of fine-line red swirls and waves over a cream-hued base.

Small bat-shaped water container. It is in porcelain covered with a beautiful green glassure and is pierced with 4 openings, a small one at the mouth, 2 others on either side of the ears and a large one at the back.
Was to serve as a water cup, either as a dropper, perhaps as an oil lamp or an incense holder, or several functions at the same time. It is a rare and charming object which is also auspicious.
Good condition, normal wear for a centuries-old object...

An exceptional and quite substantial bronze belthook, Chinese, dating to the Eastern Zhou dynasty - Warring States period (475–221 B.C.).
The gilt bronze surface cast as a feline mask embellished with twisted sashes heightened with raised commas enclosing a circular plaque; a long post terminating in a dragon's head hook. The front with fine gilt preserved in the devices, reverse with circular form knop.

A lovely little Chinese bronze belthook, dating to early Han Period, ca. 200 BC-9 AD.
The belthook decorated with scrollwork on the front and has a central knob on the back. Wonderful azurite blue and green patina.

A lovely patinated bronze belthook with dark green and red patina, Warrings states, ca. 4th. century AD.
The belthook looks like a stingray with a wide curved top above a tapering ridged hook, cast with relief taotie design.
