An antique Japanese Isho Tansu (Kimono chest) in 2 sections made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original iron hardware with a natural patina acquired over many years. Upper section has 3 drawers and lower section has 2 drawers with a removable base at the bottom. Very thick wood used throughout this chest. Side handles to each section for ease of transport.

Bottom section has seven outer drawers of varying sizes with 2 pairs of sliding doors. The bottom doors covers 4 interior small drawers and a faux structural wall that hides three secret drawers...

Comprised of 4 large drawers and a hinged security door housing 2 small drawers where valuables were hidden. A trick secret box was hidden behind the bottom small drawer with access by removing the bottom large drawer and reaching behind the small drawer.

This set of 10 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in 1905. The date marking indicates this year. The plates are
8 5/8 inches in diameter. They have scalloped rims and finely reticulate borders. The centers are expertly hand painted with luscious, ripe fruits and flowers. The colors are vivid and the painting so real, you can almost taste the fruit. KPM fruit plates are of incomparable quality
and artistry...
Small hard stone vase, probably jadeite. Pale green color spotted with white and bright green with brown veins. The polish of the stone is rather matte than shiny. Finely carved hardwood base. Chinese work 19° or early 20° century.
The dull polish of the stone would lead us to date it to the end of the Qing or earlier.
Good condition, no restoration, the veins of the stone are not glued and are solid. Total height: 14cm.

Antique Tibetan horse saddle. Made of wood and decorated with red lacquer flowers and scrolling vines on a black lacquer ground. Horse riding on in Tibet is especially popular on the plateau of Western Tibet where the Kampa horsemen have held traditional horse races and festivals for generations. This saddle comes with a custom metal stand.

Antique Chinese celadon bowl. The rim is flared and accented with incised concentric rings which repeat several times closer to the center of the bowl. The widest band and the reserve at the bottom of the bowl are incised with subtle designs possibly floral. The outside of the bowl is thickly glazed with lovely drips and overall crackle. The foot has been left unglazed.

A rare example Japanese zunari kabuto (samurai helmet) made all of iron with a mixed metal (gold & silver) design of a dragon amongst swirling clouds. The eyes and whiskers of the dragon are inlaid gold and it's body coils all the way around the hachi (dome). The mabizashi (visor) is edged in bronze and decorated with more wisps of clouds. The underside of the visor shows traces of original red lacquer. The shikoro (neck guard) has five layers and shows traces of black lacquer...
Antique Japanese pair of shokudai (candle sticks) for butsudan. Made of bronze and decorated with unusual silver crest. Each with small animal head handles on either side. Nice weight and patination.

Early 1800's petit point embroidery of a young girl holding a bird. Protected under glass in an oval frame it is in remarkably good condition with the colors still being vibrant. Measures in frame 10.75" high x 8.5" across.
This is a very nice Edo period cotton indigo dyed cotton kimono for children. This is yokote Kasuri.Patterns such as bangasa (umbrella), turtles,willow.
There are some stains and some repair marks on the shoulder ridge. However, it is an unused / stored item. The color and scent of indigo dye remains firmly.

It is 4.85 inches (12.3 cm) tall by 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide. It is 1 Lb.
It is tarnished and has rust, loss of gilding, oxidation, bent at the rim, re-solder ear, finial, and foot, gap at one foot, and surface wears and scratches. The finial is probably not original (as seen in the photos).

17th Century Chinese Celadon Color Jade Deep Carved Plaque with Duck on Wood Stand
