A choice & rare islamic pottery bowl dating to 10th-12th century AD.

The bowl has a greenish white glace with some wear due to age.

The bottom of the interior is decorated with a calligraphic symbol.

Circa 1860 superb French bronze jewelry casket with velvet lining on 4 lion paw feet. With excellent detailing throughout, the lid features a foliate head known as Greenman and is bordered with roses and acanthus leaves. It has a lock on the front but the key is no longer with it. Measures 9.75" long by 5" high and 5.25 inches front to back. Weight about 9 lbs.

A very fine Japanese porcelain bowl painted in the Imari palette with 4 reserves in the interior alternating between a gold enameled horse under a beautiful flowering tree, and 3 playful prancing horses. Set of two Japanese samurai warrior dolls on horseback. Possibly representing the very well known Toyotomi Hideyoshi or Yoshitsune Minamoto and Benki. It has been a long while since we have offered a Massier duck for sale, due in no small part to their rarity. This duck was expertly modeled in the studio of Jerome Massier around the turn of the 20th century using the vivid and, in this case slightly iridescent glazes for which he and his cousins were justly famed. This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden Factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 1/4 inches in diameter. They have a reticulated border measuring about 1 1/4 inches with tiny blue and gold raised rosettes. Vividly colored floral sprays and a ring of flowers decorated the centers of each plate.
