Offered is an early portable Steelyard scale that is designed to weigh goods up to 30 pounds. This primitive iron scale sports hand-forging construction and measures just over 13 inches in length. The manufacturer's identifying name is almost fully readable and is stamped "?? WHITHFIELD & SONS".

The arm on one side is stamped in increments 1 through 9 (pounds) and 7-30 on the opposite side...

A beautiful cameo glass vase made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England. The vase is 4 1/2 inches (11 cm) tall and 3 1/4 inches (8 cm) wide at its widest. The glass is in excellent condition. It is signed in cameo on its polished pontil.

This porcelain charger was produced in France by Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehmen Limoges in the 1890s. The charger was hand painted by a professional artist and is signed on the front. The back has double underglaze markings from the factory. The charger is 15 1/2 inches in diameter. It is pierced for hanging and retains wiring for hanging. The decoration is exceptional in subject and execution. There are figures of three ladies, one sitting in a sedan chair...

Antique Japanese Carpenter Reel, Sumi Tsubo, Ink Line. 9.25 x 3 inches, 23.5 x 8 cm. It is rare to see sumi tsubo (Japanese carpenter's reel or inkline used for layout) fully intact with all its parts, including line and original stick pin, like this one. The Japanese word for tools is Dogu, which was originally the word for an itinerant monk's belongings. It alludes to the spiritual value which craftsmen put on their tools...

A magnificently hand chased and engraved sterling silver coin purse in a most unusual shape. Dates circa 1875. When opened are 2 slots for coins and a compartment for folded bills or notes on the left. On the right is an oval frame that may have held a photo or mirror. The purse closes perfectly and it has a mesh wrist strap attached. The case measures about 4" long x 2" wide. The total measurement including the strap and tassel is about 11" long...
