Armor Decoration French 18th Century Majolica signed “St. Clément” Plates unusual size pair measuring 9.75”. Majolica is a soft paste earthenware clay that is tin glazed and fired, resulting in a blank, opaque surface on which artists could paint intricate designs in rich colors.

George III sterling silver salver. Made by Robert Rew in London in 1769. Round and ogee well with engraved armorial in floral surround. Sides tapering, and rim scrolled and gadrooned. Four leaf-capped volute scrolls. Stylish midcentury Georgian. Fully marked. Very good condition with nice patina.

DESCRIPTION: A significant Chinese sculpture featuring a Scholar with his boy attendant, carved from a large slab of burl hardwood. The undulations and knobs of the slightly curving burl slab have been beautifully incorporated into the carving, forming the scholar’s garment and top of his curled hat. The bearded scholar looks slightly upward with a pleasing expression and holds a scroll in his hands. At his side is his young attendant gazing upward with a charming smile...

An pair of scarce 2 tical bronze Toe beast Opium weights, Burma, c. 18th. cent.

One with a beautiful glossy excarvated enamel patina and the other finely preserved, featuring different tails and details as well as a square and a octagonal base. Both with verifications marks of 9-rays below the bases.

Conventional wisdom tells us that the octagonal base is the oldest, but we're not certain, both types might be significantly older than Gear and others state...

A stupendous INDO-PERSIAN MUGHAL KHANJAR DAGGER with a particularly beautiful damascended PAMOR Design Blade, terminating in a fine triangle of overlaid Gold Foliage decoration. The wonderfully shaped Silver Grip is exquistely crafted as a massive 3-dimensional Lion's head. The dominant dense Pamor pattern resembles the irregular annual rings of a large and older tree trunk. Comes with a blue textile scabbard. Size: 14" (36 cm.). Late 18/19th Century.

It is made of genuine golden yellow Baltic amber that is opaque yet glowing and slightly translucent in bright light. It shows signs of old wear and has been repaired with silver/white metal staples and a band of braided wire around the circumference. These beads were always valued very highly, and sometimes the repaired examples are even more highly prized. Diameter, 36 mm; weight, 18.9 g...

A beautiful double series opaque twist (DSOT) firing glass of dram size. The ogee bowl leads into a stem containing a central pair of spiral tapes with an 11 ply band outside of them. outside of an inner gauze.

The glass is 3 15/16" inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 inches and a foot diameter of 2 5/8 inches. Rough, snapped pontil. Excellent condition with no chips, polishing, or repairs.

Large and massive brass Oil Lamp (5 wick burners), 19th Cent. condition: excellent, size: H. 72cm x 20.5cm diameter at base. We also have a smaller pair of the same period/design, size H. 26 cm x 10 cm at base. All in good condition.

Plain wooden sculpture of the founder of the Nichiren sect. He is sitting, holding both his hands with the palms up. He is positioned on a rectangular elevation, decorated with water whirls and gilded over lacquer on the sides. Plain wood, carved in a slightly facetted way that gives texture to his garment and skin. On the back in black ink inscription reading "Nichiren". On the bottom inscription in black ink, partly covered by paper. Japan, Edo period, 19th century.
