This early 20th century carved ivory Buddha statue (Japanese called Hotai) is 6 ¼ inches tall, 3 ¾ inches wide and 3 ¼ inches in depth. The whole statue was carved from one solid ivory tusk. The left hand of the Buddha is holding a small fan; his right hand is resting on his knee. He wears a twisted necklace and earrings and has a big smile on his face. This is not like a traditional Buddha image; it is more of an off center imagination from the artist...

Chinese chair made from precious Zitan (pterocarpus santalinus) wood with a beautiful finish, wicker seat, oriental shapes with dragon heads carved both into the back of the chair and outlining the front and sides of the chair's underside. Dates from the mid 20th century. Very heavy in weight.

This very well carved ivory horse is an early 20th century product. It depicts the reclining horse with turquoise and coral on its saddle and blanket. It is 7” long, 2 ½” wide and 3 3/8” high. Aside from two hair line cracks on the bottom due to its age, it is in great condition.
This pair of carved ivory emperor and empress are early 20th century export pieces. The emperor is 14 ¼” high with base (without base, it is 12 5/8” high), 2 ½” wide and 2” thick. The empress is 13 ½” high with base (without base, it is 12” high), 2 ½” wide and 2” thick. The emperor is holding a sword and the empress is holding a Ruyi. The robes are very well carved with dragon and phoenix design. They are in excellent condition.
Beautiful Chinese antique large black lacquered cabinet, painted with charming scenes of figures in a mountain pavilion setting, the upper portion of the doors are painted with scholar's objects, the edges are painted with Shou symbols and butterflies, the interior of the cabinet has a shelf with two small drawers, early 20th century.

A rare and elegant boxed set of six sterling silver citrus spoons in Paye & Baker's "Orange" pattern. The handles are decorated front and back with oranges, orange blossoms and foliage. Paye & Baker primarily made souvenir spoons, and this particular pattern was usually associated with Los Angeles, considered a very exotic location at the beginning of the 20th century. These spoons are the only set we've seen made as citrus spoons...
This ivory carving of the goddess of mercy, Guan-Yin, is an early 20th century product. It depicts Guan-Yin holding a pearl in one hand and a vase in the other. There is a tiny sitting Buddha in her hair. It is 9” high (with fitted hard wood base it is 10” high), 2 ½” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The carving is superb and it is in excellent condition.

Antique Chinese cloisonne box decorated with a beautiful floral pattern of chrysanthemums, peonies, and other flowers. The lid of the box is hinged, it has an auspicious symbol in the middle of the box. The box is supported by four small round metal feet, the underside is sky blue. The interior of the box is lined with wood and has two compartments. Republic Period (Circa 1912)

This well carved ivory maiden is an early 20th century product. It is 8 ¼” high (with wood base it is 9 ½” high), 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a young lady holding a crane (or egret) in front of her. Aside from an age crack on the front and a tiny piece missing from her hair piece, it is in great condition.
Pair of Tiele (Chinese Ironwood) Weiqi boxes, carved from solid wood. Weiqi was the forerunner of the Japanese board game of Go, and one of the Four Arts, that someone from the "gentleman class" were supposed to know. These boxes are used to put the stone pieces in. There is cyclical date which probably doesn’t go further back than 1972 therefore they could be 1984, 1996, 2008, 2000, 2012...
Antique Chinese long altar table, made from a beautiful dark hardwood, with a dark, blackish brown finish, interesting patina on the tabletop, carved panels on both legs of a chimera, head down with its tails curled upwards amongst other swirling designs. Pierced carvings of pointed spirals adorn the undersides of the table on either side of the legs. 19th century
