Chinese yixing teapot from Tek sing cargo shipwreck. 16 cm wide. 10,5 cm high. Good conditions.

Museum quality piece. The front decorated with two dragons and the flaming pearl, the back decorated with bats, the standing rim decorated with colorful flower bands, both on the inside and outside. Sake cup in wood lacquered with gold, silver and cinnabar powder. On the outside on a rich thick kinji background, decorated with flowers in gold and silver leafs around the perimeter and in the center 2 stylized Chinese characters in thick lumpy cinnabar lacquer with the most beautiful aesthetic effect, probably the mark of the artist. The exterior is decorated with maple leaves in gold, red, green and brown lacquer on a black background. Note that polychrome lacquers are very rare...

Chinese pair of official's hat arm chairs, made of beautiful huanghuali wood with light tone and dramatic grain, rattan seats, back splat of each chair is carved with chimeras, 19th century. Size of each chair: 46 3/4" high x 26" wide x 21" deep.

A Group of Japanese Meiji Period Gold Lacquered Wood Lotus Blossoms. They were displayed on the altar of a Buddhist temple and represent rebirth and the cycle of life. Each flower is depicted in a different state of maturity. Late 19th Century. Height of the tallest flower: 30 inches (76cm).

An antique Japanese Kiri Kasane Tansu (stacking chest on chest) made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. All original finish and hand made iron fittings. Two small drawers behind the small hinged door. Hidden behind the bottom small drawer is a secret pull-out box that was used to store valuables by the original Japanese owner of this chest.

A wonderful 19th century blue and white vase, painted fully with continuous landscapes of mountains and pavilions, with the cliffs and trees rendered in bold calligraphic strokes.

Condition report: tiny chip to mouth rim, bottom drilled (with two glazelines radiating from hole)...

Korean Blue and White small jar decorated with precious objects. Choson 19thC. Height:4 3/4" (12.0 cm). Condition: Filled chip to rim 1.7 cm and an associated crack 3.6 cm to the interior.

Antique pair of silver and enamel finger nail guards, worn by wealthy ladies to protect their long finger nails and show that they did not need to work with their hands, made all of pierced repouse silver and decorated with motifs of birds, flowers and fruit, 19th century. Size: 3 1/4" long

Polylobed lacquer box (kobako) with chrysanthemum decoration. On the lid, maki-e lacquer decoration, a slight relief in the center of the two flowers. Sides in fundame and base in nashi-ji.

Inside, two decorations of vegetal landscapes with flowers (campanulas, pampas, pampers) and butterflies in maki-e on a nashi-ji background...

The quality of this small elephant is excellent. Standing foursquare with head turned to one side. The body and the separately cast reliquary - monstrance inlaid, brightly enameled, multi coloured and richly ornamented. Nineteenth century or a little bit earlier. L : 14,8 cm. H : 19,4 cm Condition : Excellent with no damage. The reliquary - monstrance incomplete ( please see the last enlargement ).

A big Samurai clay doll made of Fushimi clay of the Kyoto area. He is standing proud and strong in the position of drawing a sword.

It is a figure with pleasing and charming signs of time and rests of colours. The Samurai figure dates from the late 19th. century or probably earlier.

Normally all the clay dolls are somehow originated from the Fushimi clay of the Kyoto area...

Lacquer kobako box with two compartments in the shape of a fan. Decorated with pine trees near a stream on all sides in takamaki-e, hiramaki-e techniques with a nashi-ji background. On the upper side, a couple of cranes are looking for food on the ground, while three baby cranes are waiting in the nest located in the pine tree. Interior in nashi-ji lacquer.
