Two bowls and a lidded box in blue opaline glass. The bowls undecorated, the box with some gilt. All three French and from the 2nd empire / Napoléon III period, c 1850’s. The blue colour is the same as the “bleu céleste” so much en vogue in Sèvres porcelain of the time. Height of larger bowl: 3 ¼”/8 cm, diameter 4 ¾”/12 cm, diameter of box "2 ¾ / 7 cm. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. It is similar to what is known as a 4 o’clock tea size made by the French Limoges companies. The cup has 8 ribbed panels coordinating with the scalloped panels on the saucer. Offered is this pair of beautiful hand-painted vases. Made on acid-dipped frosted glass, each vase is 14 1/2 inches (37 cm) tall. Unsigned, but probably made by Mont Joye. Stunning single-vase epergne in blue opaline glass. The deeply ruffled edges of the trumpet vase contrasts with the gentler ruffle of the lower bowl. The coloring is particularly nice.

Origin: probably France, possibly England, c. 1840. Condition: the very bottom of the trumpet is broken off, but when the trumpet is in place, the break is below the juncture with the lower bowl and no problems are visible (there is a remote possibility that this damage was in the making); otherwise excellent...

Chinese antique green and white nephrite jade pendant. Carved in rectangular form with a boy with lotus and fish on one side and a pomegranate and lingzhi on the other. Two small piercings at the top to allow for hanging cord. Bright apple green striations.
