This ceramic tile was produced in the United States in the 1880s or 1890s. It is unmarked but it may have been produced at the Trent Tile Company of Trenton, New Jersey. It measures 18 inches long and is 6 1/2 inches wide. The tile is decorated in high relief with a classic Greek maiden. It is light green in color with a high gloss glaze. The figural rendering is fine, exemplifying expert artistic ability. Tiles of this size are uncommon and the subject matter is quite desirable...

The kohl etui worked of ruby velvet with raised embroidery in couched metal lamellae, the sides are sewn together. A very fine Nailsea-Stourbridge green bottle glass paperweight with a foiled flower pot design. A large central petunia-type flower arises on a slender stem from the well-formed pot, and is surrounded with two additional circlets of smaller flowers, four to each layer. This example is particularly nice with a good, clear gather of glass and a fine shape. The bottom has the rough pontil.
