Japanese satsuma Earthenware Vase, signed "Kinzan" on the bottom in gold in the black background, Ca. Meiji period, 1880's, 6 1/4" high, 3 1/8" wide-widest part, with brilliant gold accent on finely overglaze hand painted figures under the Pink Flowering trees around the entire vase. Gold diaper design in black on the neck and repeated wide leaf pattern border in overglaze enamel on the bottom, signed "Kinzan" in gold on the bottom. The condition is good.

This is an Early 19th Century, Dear Horn Antler Netsuke in the form of a Recumbent Ox with a rope attached to its head that is laying on top of its body. Excellent detail and powerful compacted form on a material that is very difficult to carve. unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.75inches (4.5cm) wide, 1.16 inches (3.0cm) deep, and 0.79 inches (2.0cm) tall. Ox's right rear hoof has been repaired, but, its otherwise, in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

Rare and endearing figure of a young boy disciple of Quanyin (the Goddess of Compassion) wearing a garment etched with a lotus flower - the symbol of Buddhism. He is often depicted near Quanyin with his hands in reverential prayer. The bronze is heavily cast and has wires imbedded underneath the pedestal, perhaps for attaching to a group of figures. The hand with the palm turned inward and all the fingers extended downward touching the singhasana (pedestal supported by a lion) The gesture of touching the earth or calling the earth to witness commemorating Buddha's victory over temptation by the demon Mara. An antique Chinese scholar's stand made of natural gnarled twisted hardwood roots with a transparent russet lacquer. This type of natural root furniture goes back to the 12th century aesthetic. Here is an example of the round stand produced during the Republic Period, bearing the colonial form true to the Victorian Era.

A nice English double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass, c 1765. This glass features a flared bucket bowl over a stem containing a 12 ply spiral band ouside of a pair of spiral tapes. The conical foot has a rough, snapped pontil.

The height is 6 1/2 inches, the bowl diameter is 2 3/4 inches, and the foot diameter is 3 1/16 inches. No repairs or condition problems.

This is a fine Chinese Laque Burgaute (gold, silver, and iridescent mother-of-pearl foil inlaid into black lacquer) Snuff Bottle in an oval shape. The body, sides, bottom, neck, and shoulders decorated with geometric patterns and floral designs. The center medallions on both sides of the bottle, and the top of the original stopper decorated with a geranium flower, which symbolizes happiness, good health, good wishes, and friendship.
