Korean Goryeo period stoneware bottle vase with wide shoulders tapering to the base and trumpet neck ending in a cup-shaped mouth covered overall in a finely crackled olive-rust tinted celadon glaze. The glaze stops irregularly above the flat, unglazed base that has burned red from firing. Circa 11th-13th century. 11 1/8” high. Good overall condition. Modeled in the Chinese style, this baluster vase is fitted with elephant head handles on the neck and is decorated in three registers, the largest of which displays four dragons in low-relief over a diamond diaper ground. Various floral and bird designs decorate the lower registers. Extensive verdigris covers the surface as well as the interior and the base as a result of use as a garden ornament. There are no damages or repairs.

Very small, black lacquered shrine (gilded on the inside) with inside the wooden figure of the Bodhisattva Marishi-ten in three-headed form (left head is a boar's head), sitting on a lotus base carried on the backs of seven boars. In his hands he holds a branch of the asoka tree, a sword, bow and arrows. The carving is slightly abstracted, but nevertheless full of detail...

A bronze plate with shaped rim, beautifully decorated, in gold lacquer with sparrows among bamboo and plants. Base signed "Kyoto Okuda sei". Dimension: diameter: c. 20.3 cm, c. 1.2 cm high. Condition: fine, only minor wear and lacquer loss.

Antique 19th century, solid silver fork in Baroque style adorned with Lithuanian heraldic coat of arms Pahonia-Vytis.

The fork has 3 shaped tines and an elaborately designed stem topped with a finial depicting a woman's bust in classical style. This woman represents allegorically Poland, holding the crown of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and backed by a laurel wreath.

The back of the fork's handle is skillfully carved with a Lithuanian heraldic coat of arms known as Pahonia-Vytis...

Small shrine, or zushi, in a folkish style. In a simple, square case sits Buddha Shakyamuni with a round object in his hands, possibly a jewel or an alms bowl, carved in soap stone. Shaka sits on a low pedestal. On the inside of the left door a paper label with the inscription … no shaka sonzo (Figure of the … Buddha). Height case 7 inches; height figure 3 ¼ inches. Porcelain decorated with blue and white scene motif, unglazed base. PERIOD :late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 6 cm tall, 13.5 cm wide. CONDITION: excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

A removable Chinese travel hat stand. Cut in the shape of two interlocking Lingzhi. Carved in a beautiful hardwood with a very fine grain. Good cabinetwork finish. Simple object but very elegant and rare. Beautiful antique patina of the wood. Difficult to date exactly in the Qing period. Height : about 23cm The two mushrooms broken in half and badly glued together (see photo). I can, on request, glue them back together correctly for free.

A Chinese snuff bottle made of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue with the demon-queller Zhong Kui and a bat. The stopper is made from brown glass with a bone spoon. Condition: the stopper with a small chip, the porcelain with few tiny black spots, traces of usage. Dimension: c. 8.8 cm high.

This is an excellent quality authentic antique Russian Orthodox blessing Cross from the 18th-19th century. It is made of brass and adorned with beautiful blue enamel. Chogappo made of fragments of choma (ramie), one of bast fibers, which is recycled from ramie textiles and dyed with sumi (ink) later. Pojagi is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (choma or hemp) fragments.
