This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by KPM in 1918. It has a diameter of 8 inches. There is an artist’s monogram on the back. The porcelain is molded with a wavy edge. The center of the plate has a hand painted scene of a wintry landscape. The trees are painted in excellent detail. It captures the beauty of the season. The plate has some gilded accents. Chinese Qing dynasty blue and white export porcelain deep punch bowl decorated around the exterior circumference in the traditional Canton or Nanking pattern with figures on bridges and in boats on a lake, willow trees, and traditional buildings in a landscape scene. A circular panel in the center of the bowl holds a similar scene. A geometric band extends around the interior and exterior rim. Solidly 19th century. 11 1/4" diameter x 4 1/2" high. Antique bronze Japanese hibachi displays eight beautiful panels of scholars in tranquil traditional garden scenes. Two fu dog faces are displayed to grab as handles Raised cartouche signing characteristically on bottom of hibachi reads "Shoryu" This piece is from the Meiji period. (1868) Height: 7 in. An uncommon tinsel, or foil, painting on glass. Extremely vibrant, with deep colors, the painting shows a bluebird surrounded by a variety of fruit, with a compote of fruit behind it. It is rare to have a foil scene without a lot of open space between subjects.

The painting is in excellent condition, as is the later frame, which measures 16 1/4" by 13 1/4".

Unusual 1890s - 1910s (late Meiji - early Taisho) Japanese lacquered wood nyoi - a Buddhist scepter - made out of a natural root. Nyoi, or Ruyi scepter is a traditional symbol of scholarship and transmission of knowledge. Lacquered in Negoro style with bright red body and black patch on the head. Striated wood surface texture is nicely felt under lacquer, wonderful patina, very pleasant to the touch...

German Renaissance 800 silver wine bottle coaster, ca 1890. Round and deep well. Central rondel (vacant) in engine-turned frame radiating leaf and scroll ornament on lined ground. Wide and flat rim with embossed curvilinear scrollwork and ovals (vacant) between beaded borders. Fully marked including maker’s (Koch & Bergfeld) and retailer’s (Gebrüder Friedländer) stamps. Very good condition with deep patina.

A blue glazed porcelain scholar's brush rest in the shape of a five peaked mountain. In good antique condition showing wear to the highest peak. Height 2 3/8", length 3 5/8 inches. Circa 1900 or earlier.

Fantastic pottery double-handled urn decorated in an underglaze blue floral transfer and clobbered with overglaze iron red, yellow and purple pigments. The effect is much like chintz china, but with stronger coloring. The bottom bears the mark used by Cauldon Potteries from 1905 to 1920. The form and size of this vase, combined with its rich coloring, makes for a truly stunning piece of Staffordshire pottery.

English Imari pattern soft Ironstone two(2) handle Pastry tray, or serving tray, 19th century, 10 1/2" x 9" wide with two(2) handles in fluted rim, 1 1/4" high, Peony flowering branches decorated with underglaze blue, overglaze red and gold. This pastry tray feels very smooth and soft ivory white color and no damages except some gilding decorations are worn on the edges.
