Small statue of Buddha, in monk's robes, sitting cross-legged on an elevated lotus throne, holding a bowl in his left hand, his right hand in protecting and blessing posture (abhaya mudra). The statue was cast in the style of the Liao dynasty Buddha images. Bronze, with fine age patina. Qing Dynasty, 18th century. Slight abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition.

19th century netsuke of kagamituta (“mirror lid”) type with wooden bowl and buffalo horn top carved in sunken relief with a scene of running Thunder God Raiden beating his drum, thus creating thunder. Unusual kagamibuta material, wonderful design and detailing, dense dark wooden bowl with beautiful patina, brown silk cord. Some insect damage to the side of the top as can be seen on Enlargement 4, overall in great condition. Bowl diameter 1 3/4 inches, disc diameter 1 5/16 inches.

18th to early 19th century iron Japanese sword tsuba worked in low relief with a scene of a boy trying to scare an alert tiger. The subject is a legend of Yoko - one of the paragons of filial virtue. A finely patinated large Danish Neolithic sicle, dating back to later neolithic period, ca. 2600-2200 B.C.

Wonderful sicle of a good size, measuring c. 14,5 cm. long and 4,6 cm. wide. Very broad and not crescentic. Nice workmanship have resulted in a thinbladed and exquisite flint artifact that will enhance most collections.

Fine deep brown marsh patina!

The set consists of three figures clad in dark blue robes and hats. Each figure seems to be holding or carrying something for his master. A group of sturdy fellows, by the looks of them. All placed on square plints.

Japanese wooden Money box, Coin Box used in Shrine or Temple Prayer's Alter, later part of Meiji period, late 1800's, 10" high, 10" wide, 15 1/2" deep, with black wrought iron lock compartment, round flower shape button slide from left to right to open. The top front section lift up and open the box, there are round coin slot and paper money slot on top. This is all original condition and some scratches on wooden surface, no major damage.
