Fahua vase decorated with dragons and clouds. Ming Dynasty. Condition: small chips on the body and rims. Please examine photos to check the condition. Height: 9-1/2"; widest dimension of top Rim: 3-1/2"; widest dimension of foot rim: 4".

Elegantly simple burnished high fired pottery cup from Warring States to Early Han Dynasty. There is one crack and a couple of chips noted in last enlargements. Pretty much to be expected from an over 2000 year old pottery piece. D:9.9cm/3.9in and H: 7cm/2.7in.

This is a Japanese antique excellent silk kinran Weave and hand-embroidery kesa textile of the edo era(1800-1867) . The lining is silk safflower dyed. There are some stains, and a part of the embroidery thread is peeled off. There is a small hole. But they don't stand out. Recommended for your antique textile collection. This Chinese antique wood carving was possibly part of an architectural structure or possibly from a piece of furniture. The wood is approximately 1.3 inches thick and retains much of the original finish though it is obviously worn in some areas. The tradition carvings of 2 dragons chasing the pearl is very well done. The piece is about 5 inches high and 17 inches long.

A charming oil on cardboard American folk art painting of a white clapboard house with a red porch, set amidst trees and greenery. Overall very fine condition with some truly minor scuffs. The gilt frame is period. Sight size is 16 inches by 12 inches.

Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain covered box or jar with cover, Ca. 1850, 4 1/8" high, 4" wide-widest part, 3 7/8" diameter-top opening, drum shape box, top with raised nail head on the lower part of the box and the top. Overglaze Rose Medallion design inside the cartouches, the rest area is decorated with flowers, leaves and stylized flying bats in pink background enamel. The condition is good except very shallow flake chip the size of 1/8" wide inside the unglazed top rim area.

19th century Asakusa school staghorn netsuke in manju shape with openwork carving of a winged water dragon in flight among clouds. Superb design and excellent quality sharp carving, beautiful warm patina, darker porous areas as is usual with staghorn. Loss to the part of the inner ring (not visible when manju is put together, photo #5, lower right image) not affecting integrity of the piece. Diameter 1.6 inches.

A Japanese palace scene painted by an unknown painter of the Tosa School, circa 17th century.

The Tosa School was founded in the Muromachi Period of the 15th century, and its painting was devoted to the aristocracy and its lifestyle.

Painted in pigments including silver leaf and black lacquer on paper. The fan is mounted on a paper backing sheet.

Japanese Edo period woodblock print triptych by Toyokuni III (aka Kunisada) illustrating a scene from kabuki theater with actors depicting a street vendor selling sake to a young man disguised as a Buddhist monk while a story-teller approaches from the right. Published by Minatoya Kohei in 1852/53. Each panel holds the artist's "Toyokuni ga" signature in a red cartouche with yellow snow, the censor's seals, and the publisher's seal...

A charming ivory shishi dog netsuke. Signed by artist and in excellent condition, it dates circa 1880-1900. Measures 1 3/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches high.

Original painting of Ukita Ikkei (1795-1859), a significant figure in the revival of yamato-e painting, a revered Japanese form of court painting. He was also the master of waka poems and calligraphy.

Ukita Ikkei was captured and imprisoned in Ansei Purge and died shortly after he was released from prison when he was 65 years old.
