A Brown Glaze Sung Dynasty Jar with four ears. There is expected wear to the glaze. Interestingly, the jar was flawed during it's manufacture with slumping / denting to the clay in its lower portion and which is noticeable in images. Diameter: 6.50 inches; Height 6.50 inches.

A rare authentic antique, pre-contact, most likely a 19th – early 20th century, ceremonial wooden hand drum, "Tifa" or "Kundu" from Papua, New Guinea. The hollow-body entirely carved from one piece of wood in elegant hour-glass form, carved with fine traditional tribal motifs.

This is a greenish glazed bowl dated to the Northern Song Dynasty. It stands on a short foot rim with a recess base. On the cavetto, it is divided into five sections of incised abstract cloud like drawings.

The bowl is in very good conditions with the glaze intact. There is a manufacturing fault that looks like chip. This is shown in picture 1 at 12 o'clock and picture 4. It has an overglaze on it...

Ikat sarong from the upland Karen (Pwo or Sgaw) ethnic group in Northern Thailand. This is woven from all handspun cotton thread and natural dyes. Acquired in the 1980s, it has never been used and as such may be described as being in pristine original condtion. The cloth coming these people nowadays, are nowhere near this quality. 19th century hand carved Asian figural cheroot pipe with a Mother-of-Pearl disk inset on each side and a dark red lacquer rim. A very unusual and collectible pipe that was used "back in the day" when smoking cheroot in pipes was fashionable. Missing its stem which could have been metal or reed. Measures 3.5 inches long.

Very rare antique lacquer box from the Southern Shan States circa late 19th CE to early 20th CE. This a complete set (which is rare in itself these days). The pattern though simple is exquisitely detailed. Some craquelure on the surface, as is expected and few minor chips at the bottom of the lid. H 13.7cm/5.4in and D: 15.5cm/6.1in.

Very fine, complete (both original inner trays included) betel box in excellent condition circa first half 20 the century. Lovely old Burma betel/siri/pandan box-a rare find with complete and original trays circa 1940 to 1950, and no restoration. The lid is semi domed with 8 planets pattern and central peacock medallion, the side has dancers and an assortment of abstract mythical beasts. Very rare Khmer black lacquer “pillow box” with an abstract floral pattern. This is an old pre Khmer Rouge item, dating 50 to 60 years old, possibly more. The unique decoration makes this a one of a kind piece, the construction is typically Cambodian, in that it is constructed with thin small planks of wood and is coated with raw lacquer on the bottom, and this was sourced in the “Russian Market” about 15 years ago in Phnom Phenh...
