Sterling silver berry spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. This is the smaller-sized berry spoon, and is appropriate for serving a wide range of side dishes or, of course, berries. The back is marked with Whiting's hallmark and the patent date, indicating that this is an older piece.

A repousse sterling silver footed creamer made in Sheffield 1900. It is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, England 1900-1901. This 2-1/4" high serving piece has the maker's mark for either John Deacon & Son or John Dixon & Son, and it weighs 67 grams. This item is in mostly excellent condition with no breaks, corrosion, losses, repairs but it acquired some tiny edge dents on the right and left side edges from a recent disappearance (may need to expand the pictures to see it)...

Animal horns carved and shaped this way were used by herders and farmers to give a sick animal liquid medicine. This yak horn was bought in China but was probably made used the Tibetans. Judging from its size, this horn is from a mature (older) Yak...The tip is carved into a delicate animal head ...there are a few surface growth stress cracks on the under side which would be common for a large older animal. horn from tip to end is 11 inches and has good translucence

16/17th century small votive Indian bronze of Shiva lingam altar protected by a small hooded cobra and attended by Nandi bull - the vehicle of Shiva, or sometimes considered to be a form of Shiva himself. It rests in its usual position wearing rich trappings in front of a Shiva lingam altar, and there is a pile of offerings by his raised foot. Nice casting and detailing, great patina with green incrustation. Very good devotional object, wonderful feel of age to the piece...

The dish is shaped in the form of a folded paper letter. Unusually it is decorated with a stenciled design of what appears to be a formal pattern of lightning behind an arrangement of stylised flowers. The back is simply decorated with pine needles.

Two dishes of very similar shape are illustrated in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, items 2604 and 2635, dated to 1690 ~ 1730.

This porcelain bowl was produced in France by Pouyat Limoges around 1900. The bowl measures 7 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches high. The bowl has a puffy, blown-out shape, and three fancy gold feet. The decoration is in art nouveau style. It is a transfer design of baskets of flowers spilling over the edge. There are also roses and ribbons in the design...

A dish of square form with slightly upturned corners decorated with a central motif of a Shochikubai mon. Here an interwoven symmetrical arrangement of the three elements of the Three Friends of Winter, rather than the more common ring format. This style of shochiku-mon appears to date from the Kyoho to the Horeki era. A gilded bronze or brass alloy hand mirror of round form with a pair of four toed thick bodied Dragons characteristic of the Qing dynasty. The Dragons are impressed into a very fine sandy textured ground and are delineated entirely in flat raised lines similar to champlevé work. The pierced cylindrical knob or button has a V shaped opening for a silk cord and it appears to have been soldered to the centre rather than cast. It has an impressed Shou motif...

A blue and white plate with a single flower in the center and a simple flower and leaves border. Kangxi or Yongzheng, c 1720. Diameter "9¼/ 23,3 cm. Condition: rim frits, and some “pinholes” in the glaze (generally considered to be an age sign).

Coral red tea bowl and saucer, the bowl with rocky landscapes in blue, green and black in reserves, the saucer with the same decoration depicted on a paper scroll. The black lines are hand painted like the rest, so probably Chinese, Jiaqing period. The lotus scroll work on the tea bowl with traces of silver, now oxidized. The tea bowl with a kiln mark, and a simplified six character mark to the saucer, probably for Jiaqing...
