Suzuribako (writing box) in lacquer decorated with clematises and kakis trees in black and gold lacquer and kirigane lacquer on a nashi-ji background. You rarely see 19th Century Korean tiger paintings offered for sale anymore, especially in excellent condition like this one. The last time we had one was 15 years ago, and it will probably be at least that long until have another one to offer. When they do come up in auctions now, they sell for five figures. That's because there is nothing anywhere like Joseon Era Korean tiger folk paintings. Tigers in Korean paintings are not ferocious. They are humorous and full of personality...

Antique Chinese bronze Ding on three feet. Formed with sloping lines and dramatic spikes, Ming Period jade finial in the form of a seated dog. The bronze has a large Xuande mark on the bottom.

Chinese large porcelain vase with light blue jun ware underglaze. The body is pear shaped and slightly lobed, with dramatically fluted neck and rim, and short foot.

The Jun glaze is a complex blue glaze which was developed in Henan province during the the Northern Song and Jin dynasties, occasionally with red streaks. Jun wares have their name after Jun zhou from where it originated...

A very large authentic Tang tomb guardian wearing a typical warrior's uniform standing on an evil earth creature with remains of the original pigments. The guardian was there to protect the tomb from these evil creatures. The item was found with its parts separated.Large statues like this were made in several parts. See last photo. A very large museum quality blue cobalt Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of vase in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. The center of the vase has a relief of a dragon chasing the elusive flaming pearl. Size: H. 92.8cm. W. 46cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs or missing parts. One side has some calcification from being buried for a long time. It show up more in the photo than it actually is.

Offered is this exceptionally rare Tiffany Studios glass 'Pulled-feather' vase with gold Favrile application. The vase is 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. It is in good condition. Polished pontil. Unsigned, showing its status as a 'special order' item.
