Ancient censer, of circular shape, resting on three feet, decorated on all sides with dragons in relief "chasing the pearl" and, on two sides, with dragon heads. Bronze, fine green patina. Reign mark beneath, probably apocryphal (Ming Dynasty, Xuande reign). China, early 19th century. Height: 3 1/4" (8,5 cm). Diameter: 5 4/8" (14,5 cm). Very good condition.

A heavy 19th Century lotus shaped porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting a dignatory and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). A good Nabeshima dish from the Nabeshima clan’s Okawachi kiln of oval boat shaped form, perhaps inspired by the boat shaped ingots, sychee or yuanbao, and decorated with an auspicious pattern of a pair of Goldfish swimming amongst water weeds. This particular pattern and shape belongs to a group of wares that were approved by the Shogun Ieharu in 1774 and were produced throughout the late Edo period for the consumption of the Shogunate. A Blanc de Chine Libation Cup. Of rhinoceros horn form on one side with a tiger seated below flowering prunus whilst looking up at a Dragon. The other with a deer below pine and a stork. Chinese 18thC. Height 7.2 cm. Length 13.7 cm. Condition: there is a shallow glaze flake 0.4 cm and 0.3 cm to the rim (See last image) and a small flake in the foot.

A striking engraved and flashed beaker depicting a woman on a plinth in a classical Roman robe, holding laurel wreaths, with classical buildings and an eagle on a column Underneath this is engraved in German: "Those who put forth the effort will receive the prizes." The flashed lower part of the beaker features cut semi-roundels and other cutting above a scalloped base with a cross-hatched cut bottom.

Condition is excellent except for some relatively minor chips on the base underside...

This is a charming example of a Champion's Bristol coffee cup, of fluted form, decorated with swags of flowers and leaves. Marked on the bottom with a blue "X" and "17" painter's number. Certainly the marks add to the value of this as opposed to it being just an attributed example.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. Bright colors with no losses...
