Antique bronze statue of the Tibetan Bodhisattva Tara. She is sitting on a pedestal in a Lalitasana posture (one leg folded inwards), and making hand gestures called Mudra, which hold special meaning in Buddhism. Her left hand is shown making the Vitarka Mudra, symbolizing intellectual discussion, and her right hand is making the Varada Mudra to symbolize gift giving. She has a lotus flower wrapped around her body, which symbolizes good fortune and purification of the spirit...

A Chinese bronze censer, Qing Dynasty. Length 21.5 cm (across handles), diameter 14.2 cm, height 9.5 cm and weight 2050 gram. Good condition.

Antique seated bronze Buddha in Maravijaya and Virasana, made in the late 16th or early 17th century in Chiang Mai Northern Thailand.

It shows a rare high quality bronze, very heavy, solid and shiny with rests of gilt.

The statue is our property since 1938 and was exhibited in our private home since that time.

Predominantly hollow inside and nevertheless 6,5 kg heavy.

This late 19th century Chinese egg spinach vase is 15 ½” high and 8 ½” on the widest part. It depicts phoenixes surrounded by peony blossoms. There is a blue honorable Qian Long mark on the bottom. Aside from an old chip on the rim, it is in great condition.

Chinese Dao Guang period (1821~1850) white porcelain bowl with blue ¡°SHOU¡± (longevity) on the outside and a plain turquoise glaze inside. The orange pattern on the rim has rubbed off slightly. It has been used as a brush washer. There is a Dao Guang seal mark on the bottom. It is 6 inches in diameter and 2 ½ inches tall. Good condition.

A very rare and important sample of Yuan blue and white large jar with cover, rounded side with globular body and small mouth, base is unglazed. the jar is decorated with very bright under glaze Persian blue of watery Horse and fine flower scroll motif. jar is found from excavation site in Trowulan east java.Size:

A fascinating Japanese shrine bell known as, Waniguchi, or directly translated as Crocodile's mouth, which resembles the wide mouth of a crocodile. The bell is usually found in shinto shrines that enshrine deities that were imported to Japan or Shingon temples. The bell contains an inscription stating that the bell was originally donated by the ancestors of the donor in 1686 and a new bell was rededicated in 1839. Chinese Tang dynasty yue yao mise ware lobed bowl. 13cm diameter. bowl has small chipped and single hairline at the rim and few chipped at the foot rim. free from any repair.

Second of three molded, foliate Kangxi blue and white plates in superb condition. Decorated with eight figures in period costumes in cobalt blue. No chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or glaze crackle. About 9-1/4" or 23.5cm diameter. The "sleeve dance" depicted can be traced back at least as early as the Zhou dynasty. Please note the finely decorated reverse side with ring of Lingzhi cartouches. Under glaze cobalt blue is identical on all three plates...

 

Unfortunately the images are not able to show the strenght resp. the richness of the really superb and glossy turquoise glaze which covers a very nice moulded floral decoration with all in all 10 boys. This really extremely nice vase is displayed in its exactly fitting old wooden stand. Kangxi period 18th. century. H :( with stand ): 32,6 cm. ( Without stand ) : 28,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.
