An incense cylinder was carved by excellent craftsmanship.
Depicting the casual scene of a court lady reading a scroll under a pine tree while a attendant boy hidden behind the trunk reaching his head out by curiosity, the craftsman maneuvered his fine and affluent carving skill to make the picture as much detailed and pleasant as well.
The cylinder was carved in deep relief and was pierced through in some portions to allow the incense smoke to swirl out.

This well cast Meiji period Japanese bronze vase is 10 ¾ inches tall and 4 inches in diameter at its widest. It depicts a wild goose flying away from the moon. The moon is silver inlaid and the goose is silver overlay on top of the bronze body. The goose eye and feet is gold. There is a maker¡¯s seal on the bottom, it reads ¡°Kyoto, made by Kuroda¡±. There are a few scratches on the body and lighter color around the moon due to cleaning.
A Dayak sword - Mandau - with rattan bound deer antler handle in the form of a finely carved zoomorphic (possibly deer's) head. The iron blade is engraved with stylized scrolling vine decoration.
This item was made (and used) during either the 19th or very early 20th Century.
Condition: very good, but the sword is without its scabbard and the bade has seen much use, having many nicks to the cutting edge; also much of the decorative brass inlay to the blade is missing...

Two (2) Japanese bronze candlesticks, each with a wide base in the shape of a lotus pod and a long rod connected to a lotus flower shaped holder. The bottom of one candlestick is engraved with a Japanese signature. Meiji period (1868-1912).

An iron and copper alloy black lacquered Tsuba of mokko-gata form with dragon in clouds pattern indistinctly signed. It measures 7.5cm (2.98ins) by 7cm ((2.8ins) approximately 4.78mm (0.19 inches). For condition please see images, some minor corrosion, rust in places.

Extremely rare pair of Victorian cast iron flamingo garden ornaments. Dating from the late 19th century, these flamingos are exceptional. I've seen many later versions in concrete or plastic, but never another pair this old or made of cast iron. These birds appear to be enjoying their third or fourth layer of paint, but the newest layer appears to be a good 50 years old.
