The body of the bowl is covered with a thick greenish-creamy-grey glaze whose surface appears like old polished marble. The crackles in the glaze are very attractive. Most probably Ming Dynasty, sixteenth century or earlier.

Slightly distorted cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) tea bowl made of light, fine, unrefined Mino clay. Shape and style make it appear contemporary with the late Oribe bowls. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical black oniita engobe inside and outside - with the exception of the bottom - over which a white, feldspatic Shino glaze has been poured.

Middle 19th century Chinese white jade Pi. The piece is 2 ΒΌ inches in diameter and 5/16 inches thick. A pinhead (Gu) design is on one side; the other side has a five scroll design. The carved wood stand has six round vase shaped corners. There is a tiny chip on the rim of the jade and a small piece is missing on the curve of the stand. It is in good condition.
