Beautiful exotic wood case with cylinder music box that has bells, drums and castanets. It plays 10 tunes on the cylinder, but unfortunately I don't know what they are as the list of them disappeared a long time ago. The sound is great, and the case is lovely rosewood. We believe the box to be a Sublime, but there is no makers name any place onthe box that we can see. The lid of the box is slightly warped and has been cracked and fixed, but everything else is in beautiful working condition...

This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver inkwell is 2 ½ inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high. It depicts a cormorant sitting on a fishing basket. It has “sterling silver” (in Chinese) stamped on the bottom and a glass container inside. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.

The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931...
