This is an incredible, extremely rare, plains Indian copper beads and bird claws necklace. It is from the late 1800's. It has 33 rolled copper beads, 40 trade beads and 8 claws. It is about 32". The copper beads have dark patina and are all about 3/4". The claws are all sharp and the necklace is in pristine condition. This is not a married concoction. 19th century netsuke of carved as a cluster of 3 branches of natural fungus, seal with deer finial and double gourd with stopper and its lower end containing carved village scene. Excellent and elegant work with clever use of anabori (cavern) carving technique, wonderful mellow patina. Signed GYOKUHO on the back - the artist is very well known for that kind of work and is discussed on p. 424 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Height 1 1/2 inches.

Antique Japanese bronze hiten (Sanskrit, apsara), celestial musician. She sits on swirling clouds, her drum in her lap. Stylistically represented in the Indian or Southeast Asian traditional garb of bodhisattvas with high crown, elaborate pectoral jewelry and flowing drapery. The billowing clouds on which she sits have a green patina.

Chinese incense burner bronze censer with wooden stand. Xuande mark, Qing dynasty. 10,5 cm mouth diameter. 11,5 cm from handle to handle. 8 cm high. Censer in original condition except has smooth dent at the body. please see on the pictures.

Description:

A Longquan bowl was mold in decent Bo(elm bowl) shape.
It was applied on the surface with celadon bean-green glaze and was uniquely carved with willow leaves (Liutiao) patterns for decoration.
The darken firing tint was yielded at the bottom from where the body clay was revealed.
Foggy-look condition was observed in the glaze.

A Yaozhou bowl in the documentation was in the same willow leaves patterns.

Antique Japanese Buddhist Temple lantern made of gilt copper with a wooden interior armature and iron handle. This six sided lantern is decorated all over with ornate pierced karakusa, scrolling arabesque filigree.
