A pair of nicely patinated Thinbladed Danish neolithic axes dating to the Singlegrave period, 3rd mill BC.

Lot consist of an unpolished, thinbutted type, and polished thickbutted type. But the smaller size indicates, that they were for a specific purpose in Antiquity, probably for precision wood-working.

Comes with old collection tag on the grey axe.

Sizes: c. 13 - 14 cm in length.

This is a large and heavy ancient Chinese nephrite scepter or adze.Measuring slightly more than a foot in length, the piece has two beveled ends, suggesting that it may have been intended for actual use, as opposed to a ritual item. As you will see in the photographs, there is a shallow groove that runs the entire length of the piece, possibly for attaching or securing some sort of handle (?). The stone itself is a mottled green and brown nephrite. Guaranteed ancient.
