A good, small Japanese cloisonne vase. The alternating dragon and phoenix chevron panels symbolize harmony and balance. Lots of engaging, balanced color. Sparkling goldstone embellishment technique demonstrated in backgrounds below the shoulder and in decorative details around the waisted neck. Porcelain cover for jar or vase. Decorated with enamel flowers and birds. The exact dimensions are written on the photos so you can check that the lid fits your vase correctly. I think that given the flattened shape of the lid, it probably belonged to a jar rather than a vase. China late Qing dynasty. Diameter 20cm. Good condition.

Two(2) Japanese Bronze Fukurokuju, Ca. 1900 Meiji, one of the Seven Lucky God, representing "Longevity" and "Wisdom", 3/4" high, 5/8" wide, typical details of holding precious object with both hands in front with very long head, the condition is good.

A small but very attractive album leaf in ink and faint colors on silk depicting a scholar on an outing on a river or lake. Signed: Yue An zhu ren (Moon Hermitage Dweller). Dated gengshen = 1860. The style used is in imitation of the ‘dry or sparse ink landscape’ associated with the Yuan painter Ni Zan (1301–1374). Qing, mid-19th cent. H 23 cm, W 18.5 cm (picture frame). Condition: Fair w. some soiling.

Antique Japanese iron tetsubin (tea kettle) of an octagonal shaped body, with seaside village scenes, willow trees, and boats. The sides flute outward and then dramatically taper into the rounded foot. Its lid is bronze with a highly stylized signature from the artist.

A beautiful and pristine Dr. Wall First Period Worcester hexagonal creamboat with a flared rim, a double scroll handle and the lip moulded with a geranium leaf. Antique Japanese hanging scroll of a monkey dancing the sambaso dance. It bears two seals, reading 'Genno,' Two seals, one for whom painted the monkey, the other who wrote the calligraphy. Haiku / Waka Poem made for the New Year. Taisho Period (1912 - 1926). It measures overall: 17" wide by 76" long, image: 14.5" wide by 43" long.

A wheel thrown transfer printed and hand painted double-handled "Loving" Chamber Pot made as a novelty wedding gift "Marrige Present", circa 1840, in either Sunderland or Staffordshire. Condition : there is a re-glued old break to one handle; and there is a curved crack to the rim on the underside which is less shorter on the upper side and does not reach the rim (please view enlargements 6 & 7); no further damages and no restoration. 21.5cm (8.5 inches) diameter; 13cm (5.2 inches) high...

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. They measure 9 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with an ornate ruffled border. The center of each plate has a miniature landscape painting surrounded by a gilded cartouche. The border has scallops, frills, flowers and even a suggestion of coral. There are accents of gilding throughout. The plates are so representative of Victorian taste. They will display beautifully on a wall or in a breakfront...
