Antique flannel dog filled with grain or sawdust that makes him feel like a bean bag and allows him to stand nicely. He has big bead eyes and replaced floppy ears. The original ears must have been further back where you see a white patch. That patch is white flannel that hasn't gotten dirty. A very beautiful matching pair of Maya Jade ear ornaments from the classic period CA 500 AD to 800 AD. Both measuring 3 1/2" by 3 1/4".The form is Semi round having a large central opening and wide flare. Both have double perforations for attachment. A small amount of red pigment on each. One repaired from two original pieces, along with a few minor rim chips otherwise both are intact

The vessel features a reel-shaped body with stepped foot and a flange. The doomed top with the head of Medusa at center. Medusa is rendered with a round face and curls ending in snake heads.
The pyxis is made in one piece and open at the bottom. The piece was not intended for concrete use and served as richly decorated burial object.
The surface shows remains of the original white engobe with gilded areas.

A beautiful and striking pair of American folk art pastel still life paintings. The fruit is laid out on a green table, and wonderfully executed. The black background provides superb contrast and highlights the radiance of the apples, pears, grapes, peaches, etc.

Campanian kylix with four palmettes linked by incised arcs to form a ‘palmette cross’. Thin-walled cup with shallow bowl and gently rounded floor.
Finely impressed palmettes. The linking arcs impressed with a twisted wire.
Former collector’s numeration (95) inside the carefully modeled ring foot. Dark points around the foot indicate that the cup was hold with four fingers when dipped into the black glaze.
