Antique Japanese 4 panel screen with rooster and hen. This unusual screen has gold lacquered open lattice work backed with the original sheer white silk. A beautiful scene of a blossoming plum tree, yellow daisies and chickens makes up the carved and painted foreground. The bottom portion of each panel is pierced carved and painted with scenes of rocks and cymbidium orchids.

A Famille Rose Sauce Boat of European silver shape. Decorated with sprays of flowers tied with gilt ribbons. Qianlong C1750. Length: 8 3/8″ (21.3 cm). Condition: good condition, there is glaze frit to the base of the handle and to a tip on the rim with some wear to the gilding in the interior.

Brass pipe tool in the shape of a fish with double function : cleaning the pipe’s bowl and cutting the tobacco leaves with the folding blade.

This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

The elephant has a Buddhistic caparisoned dress with pearl harness, tassels, and scrolling patterned blanket. On its back is a removable bulbous vase form with flared neck (tianquiping) Incised with arctic motif. The elephants almond shaped eyes, diminutive tusk, pinched ears, with trunk swayed inward. An English silver plate set of six pastry forks and server in the box from the 1910 era. This lovely set consists of six 5-1/8" pastry forks, the 5-3/4" two-tine pastry server and the fitted velvet and silk lined fitted box. The box is wrapped with a mottled brown leather-style cover and it has a pushbutton release. The utensils are stamped J.E&S S EP (for Joseph Elliot & Sons (Sheffield, England c1878-c1972) and this set would make a great gift...

Set of 6 hand-painted, gilded Dresden cups & saucers by Richard Wehsener (each item individually hand-signed R. Wehsener, except 1 saucer). A Remarkable Indian or East Asian offering Bowl on Stand, late 19th or early 20th century.

The bowl is cast and then finished by fine chisel work and engraving, all against an intricate punched ground. It features a myriad of hunters and animals, the trees seem full of game. On the hilly horizon can be seen various dwellings and pavilions, tiny birds in the sky. The base is an arrangement of three elephant heads supporting an acanthus cup on which sits the offering bowl...

A rectangular one-piece silver belt buckle, the front side decorated with birds and tendrils in niello and with gilt center. Dated with Arabic numerals corresponding to 1868. Brass brackets. Condition: some traces of usage. Dimension: 7.1 cm long x 5 cm wide.

Japanese Meiji period cast iron tetsubin in lotus form with a Chinese inscription dating 1702 on one petal. The inscription reads “Kangxi forty-second year, 9th month, 6th day, auspicious day made.” Lotus form lid. Measures about 8 1/4” in length by 4 3/4” high (8” including handle). 19th century. Very good overall condition. The handle can stand upright, but it does not balance easily. There is rust to the interior. From a Scottsdale, Arizona collection.

Colima Archaic Warrior holding a club-Standing in a fluid motion-like filled position with arms raised at the ready at the ready holding a club. A spread feather –like attachment is strapped to the back with straps that chris cross the chest. Applied donut circular eyes typical of the archaic style. Applied strips form a helmet and chin strap. Buff clay with good deposits. The holes on the back suggests that it may have served as a whistle...

Presented here is a nice bronze spear with raised center ridge. The spear head features a beautiful green/brown patina and measures an impressive 10”. It remains intact and is presented on a custom base for display. Acquired from Malter Galleries in the late 1990’s.
