A Benin mask of a human face, dating back to the 19th. century. Strongly cast, and modelled in high relief, the face encircled by a beard composed of numerous fine details, the face with full protruding lips, a wide nose and prominent expressive eyes.

Two different pipes, the bowls made of Tophane clay embellished with gilding or gilded metal rim. The stems ar made of wood ending in a horn mouthpiece. One with mark. Condition: one bowl was broken in two and the other one with two chips. Dimension: total length: 35 cm and 16 cm.

A fine example of mid-Victorian Naturalism. This is a silver plated egg stand in the form of tree branches, with the English registry mark for 1871. This set consists of the four silver plated 2-3/8" high eggcups and the cast metal 5-1/2" tall handled base with branches and leaves. The base measures 4-1/2" across, it has branch supports for four spoons (not present), and it has the registry mark on the bottom...
A very rare and decorative Oil-spot, black-glazed, Song style vase ( Spittoon ) from the Zibo kilns in Shandong ( from around the eighteenth century ). The very rare and highly admired Song Dynasty Jian ware Temmoku- resp. oil-spot glazed pieces were the model for this vase. H : 10,4 cm. Diameter : 10,3 cm. Condition : Perfect with just some very minute glaze-fritting to the rim ( please look at the fifth enlargement ).

Antique Chinese bronze gu vase. A bronze wine vessel (gu), late Shang dynasty, 12th-11th century BC, with two pieces that separate in the middle, trumpet neck, and archaic taotie style designs along the body. Beautiful patina with crack in rim.
Most likely produced in the Ming Dynasty.

Antique Chinese eggshell porcelain bowl with black enamel lingzhi mushroom design along the inner and outer rim, and an incredibly charming black enamel dragon with flowers on the inside center. The outside edge is decorated with a bright enamel scene of eight immortals with scholar's objects. The foot bears a Qian Long mark.

A rock solid play doll with a red calico dress an a blue calico bonnet. She has sturdy little legs and arms. Her face is blank other than her shoe button eyes. Her arms are jointed but her legs are not. She can be persuaded to sit. She is 16" tall and circa 1900-1920 She is a very sweet played with doll.
A very early pair of child's shoes hand sewn and pegged and nailed. The shoes are fragile but one is much better than the other. They are early enough that the soles are identical with no difference in right and left shoe. They are 6" long and 3 1/2" tall. circa 1830. These early shoes are hard to find and look wonderful with a textile collection.
