An American Federal Period Coin Silver Creamer or Milk Jug by John McMullin (1765-1843) of Philadelphia. Monogrammed on one side "PJG" with "BB" over it and "MB" under it and the dates 1790 and 1850. On the other side "NRG" and the date 1923. Presumably this was a family piece used over generations. Possibly given originally as a birth present. Dimensions; 6" x 6" x 4" at base; weight 8.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A fine mid-19th century pressed glass paperweight in the form of a recumbent lion resting on an opaque glass base. The lion is beautifully detailed and finished in a frosted surface. This lion is similar to one produced by Gillinder for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, but it is much more finely made. The underside of the black base is impressed “490”.

Origin: probably America, ca. 1870...

Chinese Qing blue & white porcelain vase, decorated in under-glaze blue with vases of flowers, arrows and feathers, the rim of the vase has a castellated pattern in under-glaze blue, from late 18th or early 19 th century.

This trumpet has a dragon head that is formed from sheet brass with overall repousse work to create scales and a mane. The horns and the long whiskers are separately applied. A long flat tongue of sheet brass or copper extends through the mouth. The dragon head is joined to the tapering trumpet with a bulbous silver repousse element having bands of silver leaves on both sides...

This antique copper gau would have been kept in a prayer niche in the home and would be worn as an ornament for festival. In place of the Tsatsa (clay figure), there is a Tsakli. It was common practice to use a tsakli (small picture card) to represent the religious item which would be placed in the gau, when time and money became available. The original written talisman remains inside the gau also...

A simple 7" pre-Victorian English pewter sauce ladle by John Yates, Birmingham. Yates (1788-1881) produced spoons and ladles from c1808 to c1840, and this example has his early IO HN YHA TES stamp. A pair of Ellis-Barker silver plate 7" candlesticks with bobeches circa 1910. These finely detailed candle holders have their original removable bobeches, and they have the Ellis Barker EPNS pineapple mark in use from 1906-12. This is a perfect Sung Yuan lotus bowl with the incised flora pattern lotus petal bowl, good color and glaze shine, with the natural crazing, without any crack or repair except small chip on the foot rim

This is said to be a Guan type brush washer of Southern Sung period, probably from Guan Kiln as the paste is more porous.

A true survivor. This is a 6-3/4" x 5" double well papier-mache tea caddy with ornate decoration with a porcelain miniature c1850-60. This attractive tea caddy stands 4-1/4" high and the hinged lid lifts to reveal the twin compartments, whose lids have hand carved and decorated mother-of-pearl grips. The wells have a gray painted lining. It has conical decorated gilt brass feet and ornate hand painted polychrome and gold decoration on the lid, base and front panel...
