This is one of the nicest pair of stacking bookcases that we've had, mainly because you can fit large size books in them. Each one is four stacks high, but they are much higher than the usual stackers, and the bottom two are also a lot deeper. Each of the top two sections measures 13" tall x 34" wide x 11" deep. Each of the bottom two sections measures 16" tall x 34" wide x 14" deep. The total of each bookcase is 70" tall x 34" wide. They have been refinished and are in excellent condition...

Pair of bronze vases with mixed metal inlay of motif of herons perched and flying near a willow tree. The vase contains the inscription: Dai Nippon Kyoto Ju, Ikkodo Bunryu Atsuyoshi. Trans: Residing in Kyoto, Japan Ikkodo Bunryu Atsuyoshi followed by a kao or a distinctive signature of the artist. A fine early 19th century silver tastevin in the 17th century Burgundian style, inset with a Louis XIV silver ecu coin. The coin is surrounded by a “couronne” of 27 perles from which extend elongated “godrons”. These elongated grooves, without any corresponding circular grooves typically meant the tastevin was intended for use only with white wines. A beautiful set of four c1775 English wine glasses, engraved with a scene of horsemen, hounds, foxes, and a house, the lower part of the ogee bowls cut and the stems with facet cutting.

The glasses are 5 1/8" tall, with a bowl diameter of 2", and a generous 2 3/4" foot diameter. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Good color and striations, and a rough, snapped pontil

Beautifully detailed spelter lamp of a school boy dressed in knickers and a cape, holding his book under his arm. The whole lamp stands 41" tall with an 8" diameter on the base. The figure of the boy, without the base or the font, stands 20 1/2" tall. There is a small chip on the top rim of the shade, but everything else is in perfect condition. This is one of the nicest lamps of its kind that I've had.
