English Tunbridgeware work/sewing/jewelry box in walnut veneer, decorated with two bands of chevron inlay of various exotic woods and with two hexagonal mother-of-pearl escutcheons. Circa 1880-1900. The interior is lined with paper and fabric, and there is a fitted lift-out tray. Condition: age crack to rear top of lid, several older veneer patches at corners, replaced hinges, faint scratching of a name on cover. All decorative inlay is intact. Teacups – six plus one - and saucers from Staffordshire with moulded borders, made of porcelain around 1825 and possibly by H & R Daniels. The pattern is numbered 766 and consists of little blue flowers or leaves growing from meandering sprouts in green, with minimal red shoots from them. Measures: height of cups "2/ 5.7 cm, diameter "4/ 10.5 cm and of saucers"6/ 15 cm. The seventh cup with a slightly different handle and no border moulding. Condition of all pieces: fine.

The bowl is of greenish-gray glazed standing on a short recessed foot rim. The height is 6.3cm and the diameter is 17.3cm. A minor chip shown on picture 4. Otherwise it is generealy in good condition.

Cut edges with “reinforcement” glaze. Width “14 ¼ /36 cm, height “1 ½ /4 cm. Condition: restored flake to border and small rim chip, otherwise fine.
