Up for sale is this wonderfully textured 19th century Japanese cast iron tea kettle made by noted Kyoto-school tetsubin craftsman Kibundo ( 1812-1892 ).
It is cast in high relief with the image of a landscape and plants.
This fine kettle bears the body-mark “Kibundo zo” and a remnant of the square seal mark of Kibundo on the bottom.

Japanese three-section kimono tansu made from kiri wood, its mid and bottom section has five long drawers with round metal lockplates that slide open to reveal a keyhole, and two warabite handles adorned with flora. The topmost section of the tansu has two smaller drawers with a single handle each, topped with two sliding panel doors, opening to a shelved interior and two more small drawers with adorable twin fish handle pulls.

The vase has a lid just as wonderfully decorated as the body with cobalt pigment floral designs and detailed paintings, topped with a fu dog lacquered with red, blue, green, and gold...
The bowl has everted rim, and the interior decorated in the center with two molded fish, covered overall with a glaze of guan type sea-green tone except for the foot rim burnt reddish-brown in the firing 14.8 cm diam. Several frittings on the foot rim, No Cracks, or hairlines and free from restoration.
We like to offer you this hand shaped Tanba Chawan with natural glaze cracks. It was made during Meiji Period and is 120 years old.

Antique Japanese gyosho bako, or merchant's box, with iron rings and a smoothed carved indentation on one side so that it may be carried comfortably on a person's back. It has an interesting signature branded on its front door, and its side has the branded mark of a trio of leaves. The front door locks closed, and opens with a kan (ring) pull to an interior with four long drawers. Kanji seal, Edo Age c1800.

We are proud to present you a very rare Korean Irabo Chawan made in the early Edo Period on Japanese order.
This is a Wan shaped tea bowl made of coarse, unrefined clay with a high content of iron oxide. The clay shows impurities and stones - some of them have exploded ('ishihaze'). Over the dark clay a thin, transparent ash glaze has been applied, inside is an aesthetic brush stroke (hake me) in white engobe.
The bowl has a beautiful shape and is well balanced...

A fine and unusual antique English drinking glass of Jacobite significance. The round funnel bowl is beautifully engraved with a rose, a bud to the right, a butterfly, and foliage. The stem is of the double series air twist type, quite uncommon because of the configuration of a pair of mercury corkscrews outside of a central cable. Conical foot with a rough snapped pontil.
