Japanese large Imari Porcelain Punch Bowl, 4 1/2" high, 12" diameter-top, early 1920, with typical Imari colors of red, green and orange overglaze enamel on top of the underglaze blue, and highlighted in gold. Very delightful Japanese garden scene just outside the door or window in divided cartouches. There are some scratch marks on the bottom inside the bowl, no cracks, no restoration, no damage.

Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese wooden kushi (hair comb) with black and gold lacquer decoration of pine saplings and flowering prunus branches, design continuing onto the back. Nice pairing of the two out of the Three (third being bamboo) Friends of Winter. Beautifully made out of wood with dense texture allowing for very fine teeth, superb fine lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste, in excellent condition. Length 4.85 inches.

Nabeshima hard porcelain dish. Okawachi kilns. Decoration in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze enamels. Although the model already exists at the beginning of the 18th century, we do not believe that the dish presented here is authentic. The enamels are perfect, one can distinguish with a magnifying glass discreet wear of use and the enamels show age cracks, but the cobalt blue on the reverse is too pale. It is not a modern copy, as it has been in the Sakura collection for about forty years...

Old Japanese Sumida Gawa Ware Jardiniere on Pedestal with Sage & Children Marked Ishiguro Koko 石黒香々

It is 30.2 inches (76.7 cm) tall by 14 inches (35.6 cm) wide.

It has minor rubbing of paint, skip glazes, glaze crazing, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Beautiful antique Burmese Sutra, printed on leaves depicting different stories of the Buddha with his teachings. With fine printed writings on the back side and around the edges. A kangxi style blue and white Bogu vase in good condition

This Japanese Meiji period 6 sided porcelain chocolate pot was made for export to the Western markets. The chocolate pot has a lovely traditional Japanese scene which was hand painted, with bits of moriage detail. Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, pot is 9.5 inches tall. A wonderful boxwood carved netsuke of five turtles climbing on top of each other. Intricate details can be seen throughout, creating a very realistic form. Each turtle has little black eyes. The large turtle on bottom has retreated into his shell and has the artist's signature delicately carved into his belly "Senzan". Size: 2.25" height, 2" width, 1.75" depth

Large original Antique Japanese large low-fire ceramic mask of the Lucky God, Daikoku. His laughing face is round and painted with charming detail to his beards and eye brows. He is wearing his traditional hat that has been hand painted with great detail. One of the Lucky Gods, Diakoku is the God of Good Fortune as well as a god of the kitchen. It is possible that this mask may have hung on the wall in a temple's kitchen...

Antique Thai/Burmese Sanskrit book fragments, called a "parabaik", which were once majorly used to document societal information through text and drawings. Made from thick sheets of paper, either blackened for text or whitened for colored drawings, which were then glued and folded together. This book fragment has a central black panel, with religious Sanskrit text in gilt, and gilt pigment figures kneeling in prayer on either side...

A pair of Chinese enameled porcelain plates, having butterfly and Buddha's hand citron decoration on a turquoise ground, with six-character Jiaqing reign marks to the undersides. Size; Diameter of each plate is 6 7/8 inches and both items are in great condition with no imperfections.

Japanese Kutani Porcelain Sake Cup Washer with Cover, Ca. 1910, late Meiji period, 5 1/4" high with cover on, 6 1/4" diameter-top rim, overglaze scenery of bridge over the river, and country houses and Pink Cherry Blossom trees decorated and highlighted with brilliant raised gold decoration. It looks like the pig walking on the bridge with flag? The Bowl is resting above the attached three(3) wide legs, all in one(1) piece. Signed in red "Kutani" on the bottom. The condition is good.

A Japanese thinly potted porcelain bowl that is decorated both inside and out with scenes of a Japanese village. The artist has detailed the houses, lake, boat, fisherman, people and a temple, and applied a beautiful gold border. The bowl measures about 2 1/2" high x 6" in diameter, and dates to the end of the Meiji Period. The bowl has been signed "eight days made", which is similar to the names of other Kutani studios from this period. The condition is excellent/perfect...

This unique antique Japanese vase with four handles has a creamy grayish colored body with crackles and numerous pinholes. A couple of crackles are missing (shown in the photo) at the foot. It is 11 1/2 inches tall, circa early 1900s.

A lovely Chinese hat stand featuring a pair of birds and painted in the Qianjiang style using soft pastel enamels. Qianjiang enamel paintings are getting harder to find and this one is in excellent original condition, no chips, no hairlines, no cracks. It measures 11 inches high x 4.75" diameter.

Pair of fine Chinese enameled porcelain bowls, late Qing/Republic period, each with a foliate rim and fluted walls decorated with insects amid flowers, the base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark. Size; Diameter of each bowl is 5.3 inches, considering the age in pretty good conditions.

On the spout, Hyottoko, a comical and childlike character. He is recognizable by the shape of his elongated mouth with two red dots (he blows fire with a bamboo pipe), his white scarf with blue dots around his face and his eyes of different sizes...

Marked “Hichozan” and “made by Maru(circle mark) hei”. Hichozan was a large organization located in Kyushu, the southern island of Japan. The organization did not make any porcelain itself but had large workshops decorating blanks from other factories. Most of the blanks were made at Mikawachi where the Hirado kilns were located. They also ordered underglaze decorated wares that they could supply to their clients...

A Fukagawa porcelain 8 7/8 inch soup bowl. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark and Fukagawa Sei inside the foot ring. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. Priced for each soup bowl, there were five available in good condition when listed. This is a brightly decorated and colourful famille rose medium size bowl. On top of the bowl, the rim is surround by a series of small blue colour enamelled ruyi head. At the bottom, it is surrounded by upright blue colour lappets in rectangular design. In between the ruyi head and the lappets, is alternating blooming lotus flower and green colour lotus seed pod surrounded by meandering and branching foliage...
