Chinese rose medallion porcelain vase with with 2 dragons. Colors are rich and vibrant. Dating Early Republic it is in excellent condition with just a little expected wear to the gold and measures a little over 6.5 inches high by 3.5" diameter.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Brownfields Porcelain Manufacturers in the 1880s. The plate measures 9 inches in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. It has the distinct Asian influence that inspired the Aesthetic movement. Two pheasants stand under a pine tree as birds fly through the clouds and the sun emerges. DESCRIPTION: A Spanish carved oak buffet a deux corps (buffet or hutch with the top cabinet having a shallower depth than the bottom), 19th C. The carved cavetto molding crowns double lattice work cupboard doors with hand forged iron hinges which open to reveal two interior shelves. These are set on a base with a frieze drawer over double cupboard doors, also with iron hinges, each carved with a six point flower set within a circle...

The rim is decorated with facing Oceanus heads alternating with fishes. The finely rendered heads show bushy beards extending to both sides and goat-like ears. The lobster claws expected in the hair of Oceanus are mistakenly rendered as ram horns, the usual attribute for Zeus Ammon.

This porcelain butterfly was produced in Thuringia, Germany by the Schwarza-Saalbahn factory around 1900. Similar porcelain objects have been produced by Karl Ens of Volkstedt. The butterfly is 6 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. It is made of hard paste porcelain and is decorated with brightly colored high glazed enamels. There is raised enamel beading and gilded accents.
