The vase itself is very textured in body with a vertically ribbed form as well as tight ridges horizontally. The upper body and neck are glazed in thick oil spill colors. An exceptionally nice English porcelain cup and saucer decorated with pink luster. The body is molded in a net pattern with reserves that are highlighted in overglaze blue, green, yellow and iron red enamels. The center of the saucer is decorated with a strawberry motif that is repeated in the bottom of the cup. The cup is raised on a slight foot. The saucer has very deep and steeply sloped sides so the hot tea could be drunk directly from the saucer, as was the custom.

Circa 1900, a large needlework panel done in petit and gros point of a dog sitting on a stool in front of a window and bordered by various floral panels. Colors are cream and varied tones of reds, browns and tan. In a museum quality antique tiger maple frame with gold gilt liner and a wood panel back, it measures 23 x 26". Embroidery sight size measures 17.5” x 20.5".
Antique Japanese low table made all of carved keyaki (elm) wood. The top is made of a single piece of dramatically grained wood with the edges carved to create a gnarled burl effect. Chogappo made of fragments of ramie which is recycled from old bast fiber, hemp or ramie and indigo dyed. Pojagi is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (choma or hemp) fragments. Porcelain with underglaze cobalt blue Soba Choko, featuring a lovely land/seascape scene of mountains, willow tree, a hut, and the sea with boat sails and birds flying overhead. Average height 6cm, average diameter 7cm. Although soba choko are generally attributed to Arita kilns, by the late Edo-Early Meiji Period, they were also being made in Seto, as well as at kilns further north in Tohoku. These 5 cups all feature the same pattern and are all in good condition.
