Late Ming Dynasty (beginning of the 17th century) small fine celadon jade plaque for sawing onto clothes with carved design of a Chinese Immortal wearing a long robe and holding a tall staff. Beautiful material, true nephrite jade, nice work, wonderful feel of age. Height 1.27 inches, weight 7.2 grams.

A very nice scrambled glass paperweight by the New England Glass Company. The weight is well-packed with a colorful assortment of canes and twists. Visually, the set-up extends all the way to the periphery when viewed directly from the top. The glass is very clear.

Origin: America, ca. 1870. Condition: excellent, no wear to crown, some small flakes all along the edges of the basal ring. Size: 2-1/2" diameter; 1-7/8" high.

A striking and nicely painted oil on canvas pair of American portraits. The sitters (by family repute) are Hendrick Henry Lasher (1788 - 1843) and Hannah Sharp (1793 - 1851) of New York.

Painted in a straightforward, stark style, the artist has deftly used dark tones for the clothing the background, focusing the light and the viewer's attention on the faces.

Condition is very good, with no holes or large amounts of restoration...

Antique Persian Hand Crafted Silver Item. Description: Lovely antique hand made silver Item, container used for eye liner material (sormedan), is composed of two section each decorated with small silver balls. Size: 5" tall and 2" in diameter, in perfect condition.

A very thinly potted small blue and white Ming dynasty saucer. It is so thinly potted that if held against the light, we can see through it. The centre of the saucer has a flower that looks like a lotus pod in a double circle. The porcelain is slightly grayish in colour. It has the Cheng Hua (1465-1487) six character mark and of the period.

There are minor firing faults with frittings and chips along the rim and base. No hair line crack...

Chinese Blackwood and Natural gray mottled Marble top round Stool/table, later part of 1800's, 17 1/2" high, 13 1/2" diameter on top, with carved low relief floral branches on the apron, with cross stretcher under the marble to strengthen the legs, also stretchers are connected to the curved legs, some joint separations in the wood, no nails were used, it is a very heavy solid piece of furniture.

A rare stacking Bento (picnic) box in the shape of a tea leaf storage jar decorated in a realistic fashion with black, silver and gold maki-e lacquer. It consists of four pieces, stacked they are 28 cm (11 inches) tall, and all are in excellent condition.

An interesting pair of straight sided flared bowls decorated with contrasting panels of Bamboo, painted with gilt outlined enamels, and Aka-e kinrande with unusual black enamel roundels with kara kusa patterns, brocade balls, and green and gilt demi florets. The interior of the bowls decorated with two contrasting diaper patterns and a mon style motif to the interior. The bowls are 12cm in diameter and stand just under 8cm high. The bowls date to the mid 18th century...

A “wood-grain carving” figure of a minogame, a turtle with a long tail of algae growing from its carapace. Carved out of Jindai-sugi (Japanese cedar wood) in such a way that the wood grain accentuates the skin on the legs and head, the protrusions of the carapace and the algae.

18th century decent size wooden netsuke of standing sennin (Chinese sage) wearing a robe and a leaf cape robe and stroking his long beard. Very strong early carving, wonderfully captured facial expression, beautiful flowing lines of the robe, superb sense of volume. Does not stand of flat surface, large differently sized himotoshi in accordance with the habit of the time, superb patina. Excellent netsuke. Height 3.55 inches (90 mm).

Statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, sitting cross legged, his right hand in "abhaya mudra". Votive box at the back, its lid and contents missing. Wood, with remnants of polychrome colors painted on a paper lining glued on the wood. China, Qing Dynasty period, 18th century. Height: 41 cm. A few losses, including on the finger tips of the right hand, otherwise very good condition. .

Offered is this beautiful, cranberry-colored Bohemian glass vase with hand-painted porcelain plaque of a beautiful young lady. Except for the expected fading of the gilt and bottom scratches, the vase is in very good condition. Polished pontil. The vase is 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) tall.

A lovely Chinese Tang dynasty green glaze censer burner. Unlike Snacai glazes are lead glaze, the glaze of this censer is more milky like Jun glaze, that's why I am thinking this censer is from Changsha kiln but can't 100% sure. Glaze run through the area that seems like damaged on mouth rim and two cracks under it, so those are manufacture failure. Ht. 8.5cm. Condition: no chip, no restore, in good condition as shown. A pair of rare 19th C Chinese hand carved hardwood, possibly Hong Mu wood, Scholars desk trays in a large lily pad leaf design with flower heads. Each being slightly different, one has a bird’s head and the other a nice protruding stem between the flower heads, they were made to be displayed together. These were finished with a mix of beeswax and a few other natural concoctions the Chinese used to seal the finish and give it a great mellow sheen...

Chinese Soapstone figure of Pu Tai, well carved on a wooden stand. The stone of warm pale brown colour, fading towards the base, darker on the back. With a deep glossy patina. 19thC. Ht.2 3/4" (7.0cm), L.3 3/8" (8.6cm), excluding stand. Condition: there is a flake 1 3/4" at the rear of the base, which from the wear could be contemporary with the carving. Otherwise excellent.

This is a well-hollowed, Flattened, Rectangular with rounded shoulders tapering towards base, with long rounded neck , with a raised splayed oval recessed footing, snuff bottle. It is made from deep green with black vertical bands malachite. It is carved, in high relief, with a scene of birds in a pond amid lotus plants. It comes with a like material stopper.

Excellently preserved original condition.
