This is a Western Jin Dynasty yueh yao of dark olive green glazed "chicken head" or also commonly known as "cock head" ewer. Slightly of gobular body with two lug handles and a spout in the form of chicken's head with a neck. It has a looped slender handle and a averted mouth rim. The dark olive glazed stopped before the foot-rim exposing the red stoneware earth. The flatten base is slightly shrinking inward.

A Georgian Sterling Silver Tea Set by Samuel Hennell (son of Robert). Hallmarked London, 1812/1815. It is of fluted design, stands on ball feet, and has gadroon detailing to the rims. The teapot is marked 1812 and the sugar and creamer 1815, all of identical design. The sugar bowl and cream jug have gilded interiors. Total weight 34.7 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Edo Period Portable Wood Buddhist Shrine with Exquisite Carving. 17h x 12w inches, 43h x 30.5w cm. In Buddhism, portable shrines were made so that devout travelers with nowhere to worship could carry their shrines with them. The shrines were made with closing doors, to preserve the artwork. This shrine features exquisitely carved deities and finely lacquered details.
Offered is this beautiful Bohemian Moser glass dish with tooled-rim. The dish is 6 inches (15 cm) wide. The dish is made on an aqua-to-clear glass blank. It has a polished pontil and is in very good condition. Though unsigned, it is guaranteed to have been made by Moser - according to Gary Baldwin, tooled rims of the type present on this dish, "to date, have only been found on Moser decorated glass" (reference: page 85 of his book, 'Moser Artistic Glass Edition Two').

An Unusual Japanese Porcelain Kensui, late 18th Century.
A kensui is a pot in which the water is poured after rinsing a chawan during the tea ceremony. The enamelled design is unusual especially the bold use of iron-red. The base has a variation of the spiral fuku mark, used in the 1780’s. It is uncommon to find ceramics associated with the tea ceremony that can be safely dated to before the 19th century.

Chinese silk coat in a deep navy blue. Its edges are lined with blue-grey panels with silver thread designs. The mandarin collar has embroidered silk flowers in pastels, with forbidden stitching in the center. There are multiple silk roundels featuring cranes gazing upwards, surrounded by reeds and flowers. Framed and well protected, very good condition.

This exciting little piece is a grey pottery urn from the Han Dynasty of ancient China (206 BC - 220 AD). It has a plain but elegant shape with incised line decoration. The surface has light soil encrustations and traces of root fibers from extended burial. There are no signs of repair or restoration. It measures just under 13 cm in height and weighs 618 grams. Depicting the mountain view and a monk-like figure which were in characteristic simple form of early Qing periods, the ivory piece was well rendered by affluent carving skills.
The enduring old and warm patina was preserved on the surface when darken adhesives were kept in the crevices due to age.
It was kept in a perfect condition and was fitted with a later made wood stand.

Lovely pottery small lead glazed stove from the Eastern Han Dynasty (202 BCE – 220 CE). An Asian wood cookie press. Folk art (Japanese or Korean - if Japanese would be considered "Mingei") utilitarian object. The "cookies", or treats, pressed from this mechanism could have been sweetened bean paste, possibly with rice starch, and not necessarily cooked.
